THE KINGDOM OF GOD COMES TO EARTH
We are living in a day and time when history is being repeated! All the Lord did with Israel throughout their stormy and rebellious past was purposed of Him to be an example for His people, who would be chosen of their Father to make the transition from the sixth day of man in this world to the seventh day, which is the great Day of the Kingdom of God on earth. A brief rehearsal of the history of Israel and of God’s dealings with that nation will show clearly that God never intended Israel to fully enter into their promised land, or to wholly follow the Lord, or to totally obey His precepts and completely do all His will on earth.
When the Lord brought Israel out of the bondage of Egypt and led them into the wilderness, where they could fully serve Him, the people rebelled against Moses and against the Lord. So the Lord had to punish the people for their sin of rebellion. When Moses went up to Mt. Sinai to receive the tables of the law for the nation, the people became weary waiting for him to return, so they persuaded Aaron to build them a golden calf. And again, the Lord had to punish them. The backslidings of Israel are too numerous to mention. When we read the book of Judges with understanding, that book is discovered to be a group of stories about some judges who ruled in Israel. And each one of their eras of influence ended with Israel in rebellion and disobedience.
The nation of Israel would go to war against their enemies, at the command of the Lord, but would fail to drive out every one of them. During good, prosperous times, the people would turn away from the Lord. And when the Lord corrected and chastened them for their disobedience by allowing enemy nations to conquer them, the Israelites would again cry out to the Lord, and again He would deliver them. Can we learn anything from this? The history of Israel is a collection of failures and successes, of bondages and deliverances, of rebellion and obedience, and of defeats and victories. Obviously, God had something in mind for Israel of old other than their obedient entrance into the greater Promised Land, to inherit all the promises of God!
The entire history of Israel is a series of God-led and God-directed experiences, which were only given or experienced by the nation for the sole purpose of being examples unto us, upon whom the end of the ages of man has now come! Thus, it is written, “Now these things befell them by way of a figure - as an example and warning [to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax - their consummation and concluding period” (1 Cor. 10:11, Amplified). All that Father did with Israel of old was done “by way of a figure.” Everyone of Israel’s experiences took place as an example for us and also as a warning to us, upon whom the end of the ages of man has now come.
Think of it! God spent some four thousand years, dealing with Israel, as He led them from bondage and slavery to freedom and their promised land, from one nation to another, and from darkness to light and back again, that He might establish A WAY, A PATH, or a course of action for us to take in this world, that would teach us and prepare us for “right action by good instruction.” And that WAY or PATH, if we follow it and learn from it the ways of the Lord, will lead us to the fullness of the greater Promised Land of the Kingdom of God on earth. The whole history of Israel, as recorded in scripture from Genesis to Revelation, was written for our teaching and instruction. And it is now up to us, upon whom the end of the ages of man has now come, to learn from it all and then apply, both the word given to them and Israel’s experiences, to our lives, that we should inherit the blessed Promised Land that was prepared for us from the foundation of the world. And I firmly believe the Lord has brought forth a people at this very time, by His Spirit, who are fully prepared to take the Land. By the faith of the Son of God, they are saying in their heart of hearts, as Caleb did, “Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day” (Josh. 14:12).
The six days of man have come to an end and we are now in the seventh day, which is the Sabbath of the Lord. God has formed and fashioned a people, who are His elect remnant in the earth for this new Day. They have come forth in the Spirit to possess the Promised Land of the Kingdom of God on earth, the Land that former generations could only dream about. Previous generations were led through strange and diffi-cult experiences, yet it is obvious the Lord never intended them to enter the greater Promised Land of the Kingdom of God on earth. All the unfulfilled promises and covenants were given for us, on whom the end of the ages of man has now come. It is also written in the Psalms concerning us: “Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD” (Ps. 102:18, NIV). It is for us that the experiences of Israel, as recorded in the Old Testament, were written. We are that “future generation,” the people who were not yet created when the history of God’s dealings with Israel took place. We are coming forth in the glory and power of the Kingdom of God, and are rejoicing and praising Him because of our high calling of God in Christ. It is for us that Israel experienced all they did in their history. Therefore, the prophetic Word of the Lord now says of us, “But now I will not be unto the residue (or, to the remnant, which we are) of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things” (Zech. 8:11-12).
In other words, Father is causing the creation to help us receive our inheritance. He is done with examples and types and shadows! He is finished with failure and defeat! God will have no more of man’s rebellion and unbelief, for He will prosper His elect and will give them the abundant fruit of the ground along with the “dew of Heaven,” enabling them to enter into their inheritance. The Earth and the Heavens, and everything of them, will assist us in our pursuit of the new Promised Land of the Kingdom of God. The Lord has now brought forth a people who will do all His holy will in the earth. And He is causing every part of the creation to assist us, for they as well as us are groaning together, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. The elect are His and His alone! They have all the spiritual abilities and attributes necessary to rise up and possess the Land. At His command, they will stand as a mighty, invincible army, and will enter into that which former generations have only desired and dreamed about, but who were not given the authority and ability to possess and inherit that new Land of Promise.
Once we understand this blessed truth, by the Spirit, we will receive a new vision of God’s plan and purpose for us and for His groaning creation. Then we will greet each new morning of each and every new day as another day when we shall walk with God, by the Spirit, to our appointed destiny in Him. The word of the Lord for us today is: “I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things!” God is working with us, perhaps in a greater way than He ever has with any people before in all the history of the world! The Lord God omnipotent, Who now reigns, is taking over the control of this world and all things in it and of it in a greater way. And He must have a holy people who are up to date with His truth and are WALKING OUT THAT PRESENT TRUTH, by the Spirit. They shall rule and reign with Him, not those “Christians” who are bound by and fully committed to the Babylonish systems of this world. Those who reign with Christ must be totally and completely free of the religious and political-governmental realms of the great harlot, Babylon! Both the time and the season in God demand that a people come forth, who are fully prepared and equipped “to possess all these things!” And we are that people! This is our Day to fulfill the purposes of Our Father in His holy Kingdom of all power and authority! May we be faithful to Him and to His eternal Word of truth and life, as well as His sovereign, Kingdom purposes for this glorious, new Day!
The prophet Daniel spoke of a “horn,” which represents someone of power, such as a king, a ruler, a prime minister, or a president, who made war with the saints and prevailed over them: “Until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High [God], and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom” (Dan. 7:22, Amplified). “The Ancient of Days” is interpreted to be the everlasting One, or God, the eternal Father. It is, more accurately, Christ, for He is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature” (Col. 1:13-15). Christ fully represents the Father, for He is the image of the invisible God; Christ is the visible representation of God to the world. Therefore, the One who sat on the throne in Daniel’s vision-prophecy and who was declared to be the Ancient of days, is Christ the King!
Christ also is the firstborn of every creature. This is not to say that no other person has ever been translated before. But this word tells us that Christ, and Christ alone, is our example and pattern of sonship fulfilled. Christ is the firstborn Son; He is the Captain of our salvation, Who is bringing many sons unto glory (Heb. 2:10); He is the firstborn of many sons who shall yet be born of the Spirit as Jesus was. Enoch and Elijah were translated without passing through death. But they are not our examples, which is to say, those two are not the source of our Life. Christ Jesus is the firstborn Son, and “the firstborn of every creature.” He is the Source of our Life! Jesus, not Enoch, Elijah or Moses, died on the cross for our salvation. Christ alone has full “legal” right to be “the firstborn of every creature.” Elijah and Moses appeared with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration in their transformed state. And, Enoch and Elijah were transformed without dying, while Moses was transformed after he died. Therefore, Enoch, Elijah and Moses are examples of what God will yet do with us and with all mankind!
Daniel prophesied, by the Spirit, saying, “the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom.” Every Bible translation I have has it the same way. It is translated as either “the time came,” or “the time arrived,” for the saints to possess the Kingdom. In every case, time, including the fullness of time, is that which determines God’s plan and purpose for the present today! The time has arrived when God’s anointed, prophetic word must be fulfilled! The most interesting translation of the Bible I found is the Ferrar-Fenton translation. There, Daniel 7:22 is given like this: “until THE SPLENDOUR OF TIME ARRIVED, and gave Judgment for the Saints of the MOST HIGH, and the time came for the Saints to possess the Empire.” Do you know that He Who is “THE SPLENDOUR OF TIME” has arrived? And that He is within us and also among us? In Ferrar-Fenton’s translation of Daniel 7:22, “the Ancient of days” becomes “the Splendour of time!”
Christ is not only “the Ancient of days,” He also is “the Splendour of time!” He is the One Who has come, Who will come, and Who enlightens this wonderful new Day with the glory that HE IS! This may be one of the most illuminated and enlightened Days in the history of the world! It is the very hour, day and time when God has begun to do a new thing in the earth! It is an hour of gross, spiritual darkness in the outer world all around us, but to those who are spiritually minded, it is a Day of great glory, light and life. And we are privileged to be alive and called of God to serve Him in such a glorious Day as this!
Others may wish to listen to the voices of man, which are the
voices of confusion. But I long to hear the Voice of my Father, proclaiming
the glad tidings and announcing the arrival of Him Who is “the Splendour
of time.” The written word of God, when quickened and made alive by the
Spirit, becomes an anointed Word of truth and power. And that Word declares:
“the time has come,” or “the time has arrived.” What
TIME is it? It is time for the saints to possess the Kingdom! It is the time
for the unveiling of Christ, Who is “the Splendour of time!” He
Who is the Lord and Master of all time has come to lead us onward and upward!
The New English Bible gives Daniel 7:22 as, “Then judgment was given in
favour of the saints of the Most High, and THE TIME CAME when the saints gained
possession of the kingly power.” It is one thing to talk of that “kingly
power.” It is quite another thing to gain possession of it. And the time
has now come for us, the elect of the Lord, to gain possession of that kingly
power. Our illustrious and brilliant Captain is among us now to lead us there!
And that kingly power is reserved for us in the Heavenly, spiritual realm of
the blessed Kingdom of our Father.
Israel’s Deliverance Out of Egypt at the Designated Time
To show our Father’s concept of TIME and its importance to Him and His eternal purposes, let us look again at what is recorded regarding the time of Israel’s deliverance out of Egypt. “ Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years. At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORD's divisions left Egypt. Because the LORD kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come” (Ex. 12:40-42, NIV). At the end of 430 years, to the very day, Israel was brought out of Egypt. That happened at precisely the right time, or in the fullness of time, for the Lord Himself was keeping vigil, watching closely over His chosen people during that NIGHT, to make sure Israel left Egypt at the right time, or in the fullness of time. So also is He watching over us and our NIGHTTIME situation! The Lord is keeping vigil, to make sure we are in step with HIS TIME, so that His eternal purposes for this very day and hour are completely adhered to and precisely fulfilled. This is the TIME; it is the Day and the Hour when God will give us the Kingdom! And all who are ruling and reigning with Christ are free of Babylon’s religious systems, as well as her political-governmental systems, which were all created by man! Man’s confusion (Babylon), carnality, rebellion and incompetence shall have no part in the holy and righteous Kingdom of our Father!
All that took place then was given and experienced by way of a figure, as an example and a warning; it was only a dress rehearsal; it was a means of preparing a people for the next, greater event, to take place in the fullness of time, which is for us to receive our “kingly power” and our royal kingship and dominion as kings and priests with God. To confirm to us that the history of Israel, including their deliverance out of Egypt, were examples for us, given by God to encourage us to receive our full inheritance, the Lord said, “on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come.” We are the generation that was to come! And this is also one of those nights when the remnant of Israel are to “keep vigil to honor the Lord.”
Our Father constantly keeps vigil for us, watching over us as we walk with Him to higher heights in the Spirit. And now, in the fullness of time and in the beginning of this new Day, our Father is asking us to keep vigil, for this is our night of deliverance and full salvation! We are the last of those “generations to come.” Therefore, the Spirit is calling on us to keep vigil, or to watch, during this night, remembering Israel’s deliverance out of Egypt by night, which is a type of our deliverance that is soon to take place during this night. And all the signs of the times suggest that we are that final generation, the remnant of Israel, who shall fully enter in to inherit all the promises of God. We are the people who shall victoriously fulfill all the will of our Father in the earth!
Another anointed prophet of the Lord declared, by the Spirit, “Rule and feed Your people with Your rod and scepter, the flock of Your inheritance who dwell alone in a forest in the midst of Carmel [a garden land]; they shall feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. As in the days of your coming forth from the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things. The nations shall see [God's deliverance] and be ashamed of all their might [which cannot be compared to His]. They shall lay their hands upon their mouths in consternation; their ears shall be deaf” (Mic. 7:14-16, AMP). The Lord is going to display to His elect and to all people “marvelous things,” as when He led Israel out of Egypt. Then the nations will be ashamed of their feeble might, which cannot be compared to His, and will submit joyfully to Him!
Many of us know by now that our Father rules us and feeds us at the same time with His rod and His scepter. We may think the chastenings of the Lord are severe and difficult, but we are fed by His rod and scepter, and are also ruled by Him. The manner in which our Father chastens us is compared with the way He led Israel and then brought them out of Egyptian bondage. But through all the disciplines and the chastenings of our Father, He will also show us marvelous things. When they see the mighty power of the Lord to deliver His people in this hour, the nations will be ashamed of all their might, which cannot be compared to His. For example, the power and might of the Lord, which brought down the Soviet Union, is greater far than any might of man known among the nations of the world today! If the Christians of today would only trust the Lord, they would then know that He will deliver us of any threatening power in the world today, or of any such power yet to come in the future (Num. 24:8)! And when the nations see the power of the Lord being brought upon evil and aggressive nations, they will indeed lay their hands on their mouths in consternation, and their spiritual ears will also be deaf!
Israel’s Deliverance out of Egypt - Our Example
Not only did Israel leave Egypt together and as one body of people, but they left taking with them the wealth of Egypt. The Egyptians were so glad to see Israel leave that they gave them whatever the people of Israel asked of the Egyptians. The Bible says that Israel “spoiled the Egyptians” (Ex. 12:36). So also shall we spoil the nations of the world and bring them into the dominion of the Kingdom of God in the fullness of time. Then the wealth of the nations, which those nations took by the force of carnal greed and lust, will be given to the Lord and dedicated to Him for His Kingdom purposes. The anointed prophet of the Lord described that event as follows, “Rise and thresh, O Daughter of Zion, for I will give you horns of iron; I will give you hoofs of bronze and you will break to pieces many nations. You will devote their ill-gotten gains to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth” ( Micah 4:13, NIV). Our Father is preparing us to thresh the nations. He is equipping us with “horns of iron” and “hoofs of brass,” in the Spirit and by the Spirit, enabling us to break in pieces many nations, thus bringing them into subjection to the power and authority of the Kingdom of God.
Furthermore, by the might and power of the Lord imparted to us, we “will devote their ill-gotten gains (of the nations) to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.” The wise and discerning of this hour will readily understand that God has called us out of two of Babylon’s three realms of confusion. He has called us out of religious Babylon, which includes all the denominations, churches and religious systems created by man. And God has also called us out of the political-governmental realm of corrupt Babylon, so that we no longer participate in Babylon’s political and governmental process. Those who reign with Christ do not vote for man, for their full allegiance is given to Christ and to Him alone! The remaining realm of Babylon, which is the economic realm, or the financial systems of this world, is a realm that only God can free us of. As long as we are in this body, we must rely on the present economy for our bodily, physical sustenance. But that may soon change! God is on the move! He may soon deliver us out of economic Babylon, by giving us our new body, which is just like His fully redeemed and transformed body of Life, Glory and Righteousness!
By the omnipotent power of the Lord our God, He shall destroy all of Babylon including the entire economic system of this world. According to the anointed Word of the Lord, Babylon is “the great city (which) was divided into three parts” (Rev. 16:19). All three realms of Babylon, which are religious, political and economic, shall be destroyed by the power of the reign of Christ. The anointed Word of the Lord has been given for Babylon, and it is this: "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries." (Rev. 18:2-3, NIV, see also Jer. 50:1-10). How we need to see things the way God sees them! Then we will never question His call to come out of the threefold realm of Babylon and all that it represents in the world at this time!
The Word of the Lord for all His apprehended ones is “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes” (Rev. 18:4-5. NIV). Our Father is planning to destroy the threefold realm of Babylon. Therefore, because He loves us and has a plan for us in His Kingdom, our Father does not want us in any of Babylon’s three realms when He destroys it. Through the years, I have heard some Christians say that the Lord told them to stay in the religious system so they could help the people who remained to get out of it. But such an idea is absolutely contrary to the will, the ways, and the Word of God; it is the product of the carnal mind of man. No where in His word is it written that we should remain in the corrupt systems of Babylon, especially when it is the Lord’s intention to destroy every part of it.
The prophetic word of the Lord has gone forth, declaring, “Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies” (Jer. 51:8-9). The Lord said, “We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed.” Does anyone among us think they can heal Babylon when God Himself has said, “she is not healed: FORSAKE HER?” The Word of the Lord regarding Babylon for all the elect of this hour is: “SHE IS NOT HEALED: FORSAKE HER!” And that is what we will do if we are called of God to become a fully manifested son of God, who shall be transformed into the glorious image and likeness of Christ, the firstborn Son. We will obediently forsake both the religious and the political realms of Babylon, according to our Father’s stated will and purpose, until the blessed hour when He will fully set us free!
The Lord began to destroy religious Babylon after the outpouring of the Spirit that took place from 1948-1953. And He did it by withdrawing the power of His Spirit from it, thus weakening the church system and leaving it in spiritual confusion, as it is today. When we leave religious Babylon, which is the religious confusion of the denominations and churches of man, we will then be joined by the Spirit to the heavenly, spiritual realm of Zion. Once “there,” we will see that “The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: (We will then join the spiritual believers of that heavenly realm, saying) come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God” (Jer. 51:10). Let confusion reign in threefold Babylon! We will have no part of her confusion, disobedience and rebellion! We have come to Zion to declare the wonderful work of the Lord, our God, Who also is our King and our Redeemer! Babylon’s followers or adherents have nothing to speak of but the numbers of people in their system and the vast amounts of money they may count, which is indeed “ill-gotten gain.”
When the Lord destroys the threefold realm of Babylon, which He said He would do in one hour, the merchants and traders of the nations of this world will mourn for the great loss they are suffering. No longer will their commodities be bought and sold on the markets of this world. The kings of the nations who committed fornication and lived deliciously with Babylon, shall then mourn for her, when they see the smoke of her burning. Buying and selling, as it takes place now, will cease. Merchants will no longer sell items of gold and silver, and other precious stones. The sale of all manner of vessels made by man from every nation will cease, for there will be no buyers and sellers (see Rev. 18:11-13). If we would apply this word to the present time, we would also add cars, home appliances, fabric and clothing, and all such items to the list of things needed by these fleshly bodies, that will no longer be bought and sold in this world. The Word of the Lord also includes the bartering or the trading in “the souls of men.” And religious Babylon has certainly been guilty of trading or bartering in the souls of men! These verses undoubtedly give a description of the new Earth, as it will be when there will no longer be bodies of flesh and blood anywhere on this Earth! Then all mankind will live the Life of Christ in fullness, for they will all have new bodies that are just like His!
Our Father shall soon take over this world and change it, making it fit for the glory and power of His Kingdom reign in all the earth. Then everything will change! The mighty moving of the Spirit of God, or the appearing of Christ, must take place first, then all will be changed! The mighty moving of the Spirit of God in all the earth, or the appearing of Christ, must take place first! Then the economy of the world will also be changed! The mighty moving of the Spirit of God in all the earth, which is the appearing of Christ, must take place first! Then the wealth and the ill-gotten gain of the nations of this world will be dedicated to the Lord and to His righteous, ruling saints. God is not going to turn the wealth of the nations over to His sons as long as the present, corrupt, Babylonish systems are in existence! The Lord is much wiser than mere, mortal man. For His saints to inherit the wealth of the nations as things are now in this world would only continue the present corruption of the great harlot, Babylon! The world must first be changed, and we must also be changed into the image and likeness of Christ, before we are fit to handle the great wealth of the nations, which shall be dedicated wholly to the Lord and to the glory and the honor of His Kingdom.
Let us be sure we fully understand the Divine order for change in this world. The mighty and glorious moving of the Spirit of the Lord, or the appearing of Christ, must take place first, then things in this world will dramatically change. Christ must appear to us first, then we will be changed into His glorious image and likeness (1 Jo. 3:2). It is “Not by (the) might (of man), nor by (the) power (of the armies of the nations), but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zech. 4:6). Job said, “By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens” (Job 26:13). And Paul wrote, “he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Ro. 8:11). It is by His Spirit that His mysteries are revealed to us (1 Co. 2:10). And by His Spirit we are strengthened with might in the inner man (Eph. 3:16), and given new truth for this new Day (Eph. 3:5). It is by the zeal of the Lord of hosts that we have become His remnant saints in the earth (2 Ki. 19:31 & Is. 37:32). And it is also by the zeal of the Lord of hosts that the government and peace of the Kingdom of God shall continue to increase, without end, until everything everywhere is fully under the dominion of Christ and His sons (Is. 9:7).
It is also by the spirit of judgment and burning that the Lord will wash away, and has washed away, the filth of His people (Is. 4:4 & 1 Cor. 6:11). It is by the Spirit that the pattern of the house of the Lord is revealed, including all its courts and chambers and treasures (1 Chron. 28:12). By the leading of His Spirit we are sons of God (Ro. 8:14), and by His Spirit we are beholding Him, and are being changed into the same image (2 Cor. 3:18). Our walk with God began in the Spirit, and we will not be so foolish as to think that we may continue our walk to His fullness by reverting to the ways of the flesh (Ga. 3:3). We also know that if we are truly living in the Spirit, we will also walk in the Spirit (Ga. 5:25). We will “live according to God in the Spirit” (1 Pe. 4:6). We shall be in the Spirit on this, the Lord’s Day, and will hear His Voice, which is as the sound of a trumpet, revealing Himself to us as the first and the last, as He that liveth and was dead, but Who is now alive and Who lives for ever more (Rev. 1:10-18).
It may be difficult for us to envision that coming Day of Life and Glory abundant on this Earth, when there will no longer be bodies of flesh and blood, or the curse of sin and death, but God’s word has declared it and I believe it to be the anointed Truth of God! To further illustrate what we will be like when the full glory and power of the Kingdom of God has fully come to this Earth, we read this enlightening Word: “And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all” (Rev. 18:14). In that glorious time to come, we will no longer find the fruits of this world that our souls lusted after during the previous ages of man in this world.
The word “soul,” as used in this verse, means the breath or the spirit of man; it is that “animal sentient principle” (which is the ability to perceive and feel) within us that desires its sustenance. It is the old man, Adam, including the carnal mind and the carnal nature of man. And the “fruit,” or the sustenance, which we desire and lust after in this life, are the things of this “life” that feed, sustain and satisfy the five senses of the natural, Adamic man, the man of the flesh. The original word translated “fruit,” also includes the eventide of the summer season. It is the ripe fruit harvested at the end of the season! Our souls and the souls of all mankind, which is the carnal man that is a part of all of us, once lusted after that fruit. The term “lusted after” shows that we all had a strong desire and longing for that fruit, for it is fruit that is forbidden in the Kingdom of God. We are now coming to the end of the season which has been devoted exclusively to satisfying the lusts, the desires and the appetites of the carnal, fleshly, Adamic man, the man of the flesh. Then the things that once fed the flesh will no longer be found in this world. Then we will live the Life of Christ in His glorious fullness, and will no longer need the things of this corrupt and soulish world of man’s carnal, fleshly dominion! And what a glorious Day that will be!
These Prophetic Truths Put us in “Prison” Until...
The Lord reveals truth to us that is premature truth, or truth that applies to a future time. That is the case with the truth we have shared on the previous pages. The truth that tells us that God is going to take over the whole world and everything of it, is one of those truths. It is truth for a future time, but God wants us to know it NOW! We are a people of prophetic purpose! Father is preparing His elect remnant to BE His Truth in the earth, by giving us truth that pertains to a future day and time. The Lord has declared, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end” (Ecc. 3:11-12, NIV). Our Father is putting the eternal future into our hearts, yet we cannot fathom all that He has done from the beginning to the end. It is all beyond our understanding. God is putting the future into our hearts; it is an anointed, prophetic Word for a future time. And while we wait for the fulfillment of that Word of Truth, we will realize that the same Word has imprisoned us. It is such a holy and powerful Word - a Word that is beyond man’s present, general understanding, that it puts us in prison.
An example of this truth is given us in the written word of God. Thus, we read, “He (the Lord) called down famine on the land and destroyed all their supplies of food; and he (God) sent a man before them – Joseph, sold as a slave. They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons, till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the LORD proved him true. The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free. He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed, to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom” (Ps. 105:16-22, NIV). Here is the path to sonship; here is the path to the throne of the Kingdom of God; it is revealed in the life of Joseph, one of the patriarchs of the faith!
As sons of the most High, we believe that the Lord, the Creator of the universe, will one day take over this world and make it into the new Earth of His sovereign and holy purpose! God’s prophetic Word shall surely be fulfilled! So we give praise to Christ, the Captain of the hosts of the Lord! “MY HEART overflows with a goodly theme; I address my psalm to a King. My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. You are fairer than the children of men; graciousness is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever. Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty one, in Your glory and Your majesty! And in Your majesty ride on triumphantly for the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); and let Your right hand guide You to tremendous things. Your arrows are sharp; the peoples fall under You; Your darts pierce the hearts of the King's enemies. Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom” (Ps. 45:1-6, Amp).
Whether we are put in “prison” by people, or by the simple moral and spiritual rejection of the “brethren,” we will surely be imprisoned by the anointed and prophetic Word of the Lord! That is the path to sonship; it is the way to the throne of God! Just as Joseph lived through his experience in prison because of the word of the Lord, and was then exalted to the throne in Egypt, so also are we being imprisoned by the prophetic word of the Lord. Then, when that same Word that imprisoned us is fulfilled in the earth, by the Spirit, we shall be exalted to the throne of our Father by the mighty power and glory of the Lord God omnipotent, Who reigns! Remember, saints of the Lord, we shall soon be set free to reign with Christ! We are reigning with Christ now, but our present reign is a negative reign in judgment, consisting of ruling the nations and breaking them “to shivers,” to bring them under the dominion of the Kingdom of God (as in Rev. 2:26-27). In the fullness of time, we shall be exalted to the next phase of the reign of Christ, which is to sit on the throne of our Father in the Power and Glory of His Kingdom reign (as in Rev. 22:1-5)! Then, we will be changed into the image and likeness of Christ and anointed with the seven Spirits of God, to show forth the Spirit of Righteousness, Justice, Peace, Light, Glory, Love and Life to all!
We shall soon be set free to reign with Christ! But let us understand just what true freedom is! The Apostle Paul explained freedom in Christ well, when he wrote, “For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men” (1 Cor. 7:22-23). When the Lord sets us free, we are free indeed! But we are not totally free, for we are the servants of Christ. We are free in Christ, and are no longer in any form of bondage whatsoever. Paul reminds us that we are bought with a price. Then he admonishes us, “be not ye the servants of men.” So much that people have done in the church order of the past has been done as “the servants of men” and not as the true servants of the Lord. And there is a big difference!
Watchman Nee, in his booklet, “Ministry to the House or to the Lord,” told of the difference between serving man and serving the Lord. He wrote, “Brothers and Sisters, let us in utter honesty examine ourselves before God today. Let us ask Him: Am I serving You, or am I serving the work? Is my ministry `unto the Lord,’ or is it `unto the House?’ If you are pouring with sweat all the time, then you yourself can come to the conclusion that it is the House you are serving, not the Lord. If all your busyness is related to human need, you may know that you are serving men, not God. Oh! I beseech you before God to hear His call to forsake the outer court and devote yourself to His service in the Holy Place. Many of His own are reluctant to leave the thrill and excitement of the outer court. They are bent on serving the people. But what about us? Oh that today we might say to the Lord: `I am willing to forsake things, I am willing to forsake the outer court and serve You in the inner sanctuary.’ The Holy Place is a place utterly set apart for Him, a place where the standard is absolute.” (End of quotation.)
Indeed, in the Holy Place, or the inner sanctuary of the Lord, where we are called to minister to the Lord, not man, the standard is absolute! The Holy Place is a realm in the Spirit that is pure, holy and undefiled. It is the realm of the greater Presence of the Lord, where all that takes place is not work after the flesh, but it is ministry that flows forth from the Presence of the Lord, as we minister unto Him. The elect are called of the Father to serve Him by ministering to Him as from the Holy Place, which is the realm of the greater Presence, Power and Glory of the Lord. “There” the perfect will of the Father is the true and only standard; everything that comes forth from Him and His Kingdom of maturing and reigning sons is judged of the Lord by His Divine standard of perfection, holiness and righteousness! Thus, we are becoming “the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth” (Lam. 2:15).
More Examples for us Seen in Israel’s Deliverance Out
One of the first ordinances established by the Lord for Israel after their deliverance out of Egypt was the sanctification of the firstborn. The Lord said, “Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine” (Ex. 13:2). This Divine ordinance meant much more to Israel then, for they had seen the Lord destroy all the firstborn of Egypt. Now that Israel was free from the bondage of Egypt, the Lord was setting aside the firstborn of both man and animals from among the hosts of Israel. Ever since then, all the firstborn of the tribes of Israel had a very special calling of service to the Lord. In the same way, we are also the Lord’s firstborn, for we are a kind of firstfruits of His creatures (Ja. 1:18).
While in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, which corresponds to the present time here on earth, John saw the Lamb standing before him, along with 144,000 saints, who had both the Lamb’s Name and the Father’s Name written in their foreheads. Those names were in their foreheads to show that every one of those saints had given themselves over to the Lamb and to the Father, to do only and always their Father’s perfect will. It is also written of them, “And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not defile themselves with women (which are the harlot systems of Babylon), for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless” (Rev. 14:3-5, NIV).
I firmly believe the Lord has such a people today. They consistently and continually follow the Lamb wherever He goes, for they delight to do His perfect will. No lie is found in their mouths; they are blameless at this time and in this Day, which is the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ (see 1 Cor. 1:8). They also are “blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye (they) shine as lights in the world” (Phil. 2:15). The Lord has preserved their “whole spirit and soul and body ...... blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thess. 5:23, see also 2 Pe. 3:13-14). Until the glorious appearing of Christ to save us in full, we are being preserved by the Spirit and made blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of this crooked and perverse generation. The Lord purchased and redeemed us, and brought us out of the world and its perverted systems, that we might remain pure and blameless in His sight. We obeyed the Lord when He called us out of the harlotry of Babylon’s “women,” and are kept undefiled by His Spirit. We are “virgins” in the Spirit! We sing the new song of the Lamb before His throne; it is a song no one else can sing, for we are the Lord’s firstborn - the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. I believe we are that firstborn company that was revealed in type when Israel was delivered out of Egypt’s bondage (as in Ex. 13:2). We are the Lord’s firstborn, purposed of Him to bring deliverance to the world in this new Day.
After leaving Egypt, the nation of Israel journeyed to the
Desert of Sin. It was indeed a desert, for there was nothing there for the people
to eat. So they complained to Moses and Aaron, and wished they had remained
in Egypt where they had meat and bread to eat in abundance. They blamed Moses
and Aaron because they did not understand that it was the Lord Who delivered
them. So the Lord spoke to Moses and told him He would send bread from heaven
each day for the people to eat. They were to gather their manna each day in
the morning. But on the sixth day, they were to gather enough for two days,
for the seventh day was the sabbath of the Lord and no manna would be given
on the sabbath day. The Lord said He did this to see if they would obey His
Then Moses said to the people, "In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt, and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?" (Ex. 16:6-7, NIV). By this experience in Israel after God had delivered them from Egypt, a pattern was established that has continued to this Day. The Lord did a work in their day, in the evening of that day, but it was a work of the Spirit that was not known by many people. So it is today! God is doing a glorious and marvelous work in this Day, in the evening time, just as He did in that day. And many do not know that the Lord is doing this “evening time” work now! The pattern that was established then in Israel is continuing today! The Lord began to do a glorious work today, in the evening of this new Day, but not until the morning will we see the glory of the Lord, to fully understand all He has done for us!
As a result of Israel’s deliverance out of Egypt, the Lord has given this special word, which is vitally important for us today: “You saw with your own eyes the great trials, the miraculous signs and wonders, the mighty hand and outstretched arm, with which the LORD your God brought you out. The LORD your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear. Moreover, the LORD your God will send the hornet among them until even the survivors who hide from you have perished. Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God. The LORD your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. But the LORD your God will deliver them over to you, throwing them into great confusion until they are destroyed. He will give their kings into your hand, and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand up against you; you will destroy them” (Deut. 7:19-25, NIV).
This Word of promise means much more to us now than it ever
did to any people in the past! This is the wonderful Kingdom Day when all wars
shall cease! This is the wonderful and glorious Kingdom Day when God Himself
will fight for His people! This is the great Day when the weapons of man’s
warfare will become useless, and the weapons in the Lord’s armory will
be important, spiritual weapons to be used to defeat all our enemies in the
world around us. This is the awesome Day when God would again speak to us about
the rebellious nations, and would say to us, “Do not be terrified; do
not be afraid of them. The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight
for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the desert.
There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son,
all the way you went until you reached this place.” (Deut. 1:29-31, NIV).
God’s plan for us now depends alone on His ability to fulfill His Word
and not on our faith, or lack of it! That which God will do during this great
Day will be done solely and exclusively by the sovereign power of His Spirit,
and does not depend on our faith, or on our ability to believe and perform!
The earth and the heavens, and everything of them, are assisting us in our walk
to perfection and the fullness of Christ! We are almost there; the transformation
of the sons of God is at hand! The whole creation is awaiting our spiritual
growth unto full maturity in Christ!
