THESE ARE THEY ...

Part Nineteen
May 2005

Father has a company of sons today to whom are given “exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Pet. 1:4). Exceeding great and precious promises have been given to us, upon whom the end of the ages have come. This literally means we have been given very valuable, costly, honored, esteemed and beloved promises from our Father! The exceeding great and precious promises He has given us were bestowed upon us by our Father gratuitously, with an abundance of mercy and grace, requiring a self-committal from our Father, Who loves us with an everlasting Love. This Word conveys to us the greatness and the inexhaustible, unchanging and unlimited Love of our Father, as well as His unwavering declaration of Truth, promising to make of us manifest sons of God, or mature sons of His Love, and partakers of His divine nature! As a result of the tests and trials of our experience in this life, we have “escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

We have been given “exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature.” To partake of and receive His divine nature is the goal before us! This is our Father’s supreme purpose for His elect! It is the purpose or the reason for those “exceeding great and precious promises,” which were given to us by our Father! Verse three of that same chapter tells us, “his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” Therefore, His Godly power has given to us all things that pertain to Life and Godliness, through the knowledge of Christ, the Lord, Who has called us to Glory and Virtue! By the power of God, we have been given ALL THINGS necessary to Life and Godliness, through the knowledge of Christ, our beloved elder Brother!

To partake of His divine nature means that we have become a sharer or an associate of our Father, sharing His Life and Godliness, through Jesus Christ the Lord! This is our right! This is our inheritance! And there is nothing lacking of His Life, Glory and Power to bring it to pass in our lives, for the glory and honor of the Lord! The word “nature,” as used in this passage, means growth (by germination or expansion). To partake of His divine nature is to eat of Him and grow spiritually, line upon line and from glory to glory, until we have become all that He is! The elect of the Lord are continually partaking of Him, and are becoming what He is by the indwelling power of the risen and glorified Christ!

As for our part in this wonderful covenant relationship, we are expected to believe God and His immutable Word! When Caleb and Joshua returned from spying out the new land of promise, they gave a positive report to the people, encouraging them to go in and possess the land. But the people rebelled against God and threatened to stone the Lord’s faithful messengers. But then, the glory of the Lord appeared in their midst and God said to Moses, “How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?” (Num. 14:11) The Lord gave numerous signs and wonders to the nation of Israel, so numerous, magnificent and glorious, you would think the people would have believed without any doubts and fears whatsoever! But despite the signs and wonders they experienced in Egypt, the nation of Israel still doubted the Lord their God! Rather than believe God when they experienced the many problems of their wilderness journey, they doubted Him and His chosen leaders, and provoked the Lord their God to anger.

The sad and difficult experiences of Israel in the wilderness may be compared with our present “wilderness” experiences. We are going through a “wilderness” of tests and trials in this world even as Israel went through a literal wilderness on the way to their new promised land. And just as Israel in that day went through a period when great signs and wonders were displayed before their wondering eyes, so also have we gone through a period of great and mighty signs and wonders, given us by the Lord to establish our faith and encourage us on our spiritual journey through this life. Many of us have seen the glory of the Lord! Many of us have witnessed miracles of healing and deliverance! Many of us have heard the Voice of the Lord! Many of us have been mightily used of the Lord! And many of us have come away from those wonderful, spiritual experiences with a high degree of faith and trust in the Lord! And we will remain steadfast in our faith, believing all His promises, as we approach the moment of our transformation.

May our Father never find it necessary to say of us, “how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?” All the signs and wonders of the past, which we have witnessed, are purposed of our Father to establish our faith and enable us to believe Him for the fulfillment of His prophetic Word, even though circumstances in this world are contrary to our faith. The signs and wonders we witnessed in the past are purposed of our Father to lead us to believe Him for greater things! It is not our Father’s will for us to remain bogged down in the dead traditions and the lifeless religious experiences of the past! He has purposed and ordained new things for us! And those new things are revealed in His prophetic Word, which Word shall surely be fulfilled by our loving and merciful Father! And we shall remain strong in faith, believing Him for the fulfillment of all He has promised!

We are inheritors of the faith of Abraham, of whom it is written: “Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead - since he was about a hundred years old - and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why ‘it was credited to him as righteousness.’ “ To help us understand what Abraham’s faith has to do with us, Paul also wrote to say: “The words ‘it was credited to him’ were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness - for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Rom. 4:18-25, NIV).

Abraham was to become the father of many nations! He understood the weaknesses of his own body, but he believed in spite of those weaknesses! So it should also be with us! Our bodies are aging and are slowly returning to the dust from whence they came. We cherish the promise of the fullness of the Life of Christ, but our bodies continue to deteriorate. But like Abraham, we shall continue to hope and believe, even though all natural hope is against us and contrary to the abundant and rich promises of our Father! And also like Abraham, we shall receive the promise of full salvation, even though everything in the world around us is contrary to our faith and is going the way of sin and death! “These are they..” who shall overcome all things, including the negative circumstances all around them! Of these, it could well be written: Against all hope, the elect in hope believed and so became the heirs of the promises of God, such as the transformation of their bodies, which is the manifestation of the sons of God!

In the face of all the many contrary signs all around us in this flesh- oriented world, we will believe God and His anointed Word of Truth! And when hope seems to be lacking, providing no apparent reason for us to be hopeful, we shall continue to hope and believe. We will hope against all hope, knowing that God is greater than all the world’s hopelessness! Our Father has led us into this “wilderness” of tests and trials that He might make of us His fruitful sons. It is written of us, “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt. `In that day,’ declares the LORD, `you will call me 'my husband'; you will no longer call me 'my master.'” (Hos. 2:14-16, NIV). The word “Achor,” means to be troubled, disturbed or afflicted. Father has led us into the wilderness and into the dreaded “Valley of Achor,” that He might speak tenderly to us and turn our valleys into mountain tops and our “Achors” into places of refuge, comfort and hope. There is nothing quite like the “valley of Achor” experience to give us ears to Hear! As a result of His work within us, we shall become a hopeful and joyful people, causing us to sing as we have never sung before! Then, in this new Day, we will no longer call Him “my master,” as a servant would do, but will instead call Him “my husband,” for we will have a new relationship with Christ, the Son of God and the first manifested Son. We will have a husband and wife relationship with the Lord, for we shall be one with Him!

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:4). I trust those who read these lines are not becoming impatient as time is passing and there seems to be no visible changes taking place! Let us realize that God knows what He is doing! If time and His purposes seem to be moving slower than we had hoped, let us realize that Father has a purpose He is working out. We should also know that we are not serving time, but time is serving us! And, what is more important, time is serving Father’s purposes! Rather than getting impatient with the Lord, we should look to ourselves for the reason for the delay. Is it possible that God is not bringing about a drastic, visible change because we are not yet ready? Is it possible that Father sees some weakness or some lack on our part? Or, is it possible that the world in general is not yet fully prepared for the manifestation of the fullness of the power and glory of the Kingdom of God?

Our loving and merciful Father knows the end from the beginning! And He knows when the time is right for His wonderful purposes to be fulfilled. Not only must we be ready for any drastic changes our Father might make, but the world must also go through a distinct process of change to be ready for the new and more glorious administration of the Kingdom of God! We cannot always see what is taking place, both in the Spirit and in the world at large, but let us be assured that God is moving to bring to pass His purposes in all the earth. And He may bring all His purposes for this great Day to a grand culmination before we know it! Although all earthly, outward signs may be discouraging, let us continue to hope, believe and expect great things from our Father!

It should encourage us to know of the faith of Moses, and that the same faith, which is a gift of God, is ours as well! It is written of Moses, “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward” (Heb. 11:24-26). By the same faith, we join Moses in taking a positive stand for the Lord and His Kingdom! We have determined, by the sovereign will and purpose of the Lord, to suffer the reproach and the afflictions, as Moses did, which are common to all the sons of God and are necessary to our sonship, rather than enjoying the pleasures of this world of sin and shame for a brief season of carnal, fleshly joy and happiness. It is much better for us to suffer the afflictions of the cross of Christ and reign with Him, than to enjoy the temporal pleasures of this world, which are empty, meaningless and shall soon pass away!

“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment” (Heb. 11:23). Here we see how our Lord provides for His own! It is another illustration of the sovereignty of God! By faith, his parents hid the baby Moses from the reach of Pharaoh for three months. They were not afraid of the king’s commandment, but believed in God’s plan, whether or not they knew what His plan was. God gave his parents the faith to believe that Moses was a child of destiny and purpose! When the time came for Moses to be taken into Pharaoh’s house, to be trained to reign, Pharaoh’s daughter took him from his hiding place and into her care. And when he grew up, Moses, by the will and wisdom of the Lord, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. Also, by the will, purpose and wisdom of the Lord, Moses chose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God.

Seeing better things for himself and for his people in God’s plan, Moses determined, by faith, to become a part of the unfolding purposes of God, even though he may not have fully known what those purposes were. And like Moses, we esteem the sufferings of Christ to be greater riches than all the treasures of this world, for we see our greater reward in the Kingdom of God! God has given us a vision of His Kingdom reign in all the earth, enabling us to see the end from the beginning! We know to Whom the victory belongs, so we have taken our stand with Him and His glorious Kingdom! In every step of Moses’ life, the will of God was done, even though no one could have verbalized the will, the purpose and the plan of the Lord at that time! So it is with us! Our lives are being guided, every step of the way, by the sovereign and omnipotent will of our Father, to serve His Kingdom plans and purposes! God will have His way, not only with us but with all mankind as well, even though no one among them may know what His plan and purpose is! God is always sovereign in all His ways and works, despite man’s lack of wisdom, knowledge and understanding! But we do know something of Father’s plan and purpose for this world in the Kingdom of God, and we rejoice in knowing that we shall have a major part in that magnificent Kingdom, which is endless and glorious beyond description!

The Lord spoke to Moses telling him to take Aaron and speak to Pharaoh and tell him to allow God’s people, Israel, to freely leave Egypt and journey to their promised land. And then we read, “These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron” (Ex. 6:27). Imagine what a believer can do in obedience to God’s Word, when that Word is mixed with faith within them! We could, like Moses and Aaron, tell some pharaoh to let God’s people go free! And it may come to that! We may be asked by our Father to tell our current “pharaoh,” who now heads the combined world powers of the threefold Babylon systems, to let the people of the Lord go free, so we may all worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, as we were instructed of the Lord to do! And those who believe God will obey His every command, without hesitation, without fear, and without compromise! “These are they...” who shall be obedient to every Word their Father speaks!

While in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, John said this: “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God” (Rev. 15:2). Who are these that John saw? They are the overcomers; they are the elect of the Lord! “These are they...” who “had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name.” We are those overcomers; we are the elect whom John saw many centuries ago while in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day! How good it is to know that we came forth out of our period of fiery tests and trials victorious over all! It is already written in God’s Word that we have overcome! In God’s mind, our overcoming victory is already accomplished and fulfilled! Therefore, we will not fail, for God is with us as we go through this time of tribulation and trial! We shall overcome in every area, for our victory is already foretold and assured! Thus, it is written, “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Rev. 7:14).

By faith, Moses was victorious over Pharaoh and his hosts. And by faith, we shall also be victorious! It is not by the faith of Moses that we shall overcome and be victorious; it is by the faith of the Son of God (Gal. 2:20), that we shall overcome and be victorious over death, hell and the grave, just as Jesus was (Rev. 1:17-18)! John said he saw “as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire.” What is that “sea of glass,” if it is not the masses of the people of this world in prophetic type (see Is. 23:4, 11, & 57:20)? That the sea of glass is “mingled with fire” illustrates the fires of the presence of the Lord, Who is a consuming fire (Heb. 12:29). It is the fiery presence of the Lord that has thoroughly purified all the sons of God, who are hidden, as it were, among the people of the world! Therefore, the world of mankind is seen, in the Spirit and by the Spirit, “as a sea of glass mingled with fire,” because of the Spirit’s cleansing work within all the Lord’s chosen elect on earth!

And then there are “them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.” Are they not the elect of the Lord, the chosen sons of God? We, who will have gotten the victory over the beast, his image, his mark and the number of his name, are seen prophetically standing on that “sea of glass,” or among all mankind, with the harps of God, singing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. There will then be great cause for rejoicing, for a people will have prevailed over every enemy, including death, which is the last enemy, assuring abundant Life for all, as well as the fullness of the Kingdom of God and all it provides for the whole world of mankind! Then, all mankind shall be fully redeemed and abundantly blessed of the Lord! Then, there will truly be much to sing about!

And then it is written of us: “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest” (Rev. 15:3-4). What a wonderful promise: all nations shall come and worship before the Lord! These words show all the people of every nation on earth, especially those of the heathen nations, bowing before the Lord in reverence, worshiping Him as their Savior and Lord. Without the efforts of man, such as evangelistic and missionary efforts, the multitudes of this world from every nation will come willingly to the Lord, to worship Him and serve Him forever! They will all finally see Christ as the King of saints, for He will have successfully brought forth a holy and a righteous people, the evidence of which is their manifestation as sons of God! Why do the nations come to the Lord, to present themselves in worship before Him? Because, according to the original wording of this scripture, the people of the world have seen the results of the Lord’s judgments, which is the manifestation of the sons of God! The world will then see, know and believe that God is the true God, for He will have brought forth a holy and a righteous people, who shall rule and reign with Him IN LIFE!

That a holy and righteous people shall come forth as a result of the Lord’s judgments is promised in His Word! The words “thy judgments are made manifest,” as used here, really indicates to all the world that the Lord has rendered a decision, bringing forth, showing or manifesting His Life in a people, who shall be holy and righteous, even as He is holy and righteous! And that people, that remnant, which we are, shall rule and reign with Christ over all the nations of the world! And when we do come forth in the image and likeness of Christ, the whole world will then believe wholly in the Lord, for they will have the evidence of the glorious work of the Spirit before them! Our manifestation as sons of the living God is the evidence the world is waiting to see!

I am fully aware of the fact that you all know the scriptures quite well! All who are apprehended of the Father for sonship have spent years walking with the Lord, and have been taught much of the truth of God’s Word. But let us read this portion again, with the understanding that all mankind along with the whole creation are waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God! And why are they all waiting? The reason is given here: “For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. For the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it--[yet] with the hope [Eccl 1:2.] That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God's children” or God’s sons (Rom. 8:19-21, AMP).

The whole creation, including every person in this world, are all waiting, expectantly and earnestly, for God’s sons to be made known. And why are they waiting? Because they all, along with us, are in bondage to the decay and corruption of this world, and they know their deliverance is tied to our manifestation as sons of God! Every created thing was subjected to frailty, to futility and condemned to frustration, by the will of the Father, but with the hope of deliverance, resulting in an abundant entrance into the glorious freedom of the sons of God! The whole creation, or every created thing, knows, by some Divine gift of inner knowing, that the whole creation shall be set free when the sons of God are manifest! And indeed they shall be!

Regarding the matter of faith and believing, the Lord said this through one of His anointed prophets: “Look around [you, Habakkuk, replied the Lord] among the nations and see! And be astonished! Astounded! For I am putting into effect a work in your days [such] that you would not believe it if it were told you. [Acts 13:40,41.]” (Hab. 1:5, AMP). In that day, Habakkuk, the prophet of the Lord, was overwhelmed by the gross darkness of the times. The times in which he lived were truly times of spiritual darkness, as are these days as well. So much darkness prevailed then that the Lord’s prophet was moved to say, “O Lord, how long shall I cry for help and You will not hear? Or cry out to You of violence and You will not save? Why do You show me iniquity and wrong, and Yourself look upon or cause me to see perverseness and trouble? For destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is slackened and justice and a righteous sentence never go forth, for the [hostility of the] wicked surrounds the [uncompromisingly] righteous; therefore justice goes forth perverted.” (Hab. 1:2-4, AMP). Does this all sound familiar? Is it possible that some of us have asked the same questions of our Father?

These are truly times of spiritual darkness; these days are so dark that it may cause us to despair and lose all hope. Like the prophet Habakkuk, we may also question why the Lord allows us to see all this “perverseness and trouble, ... destruction and violence, ... and strife and contention.” It appears to us that “the law is slackened and justice and a righteous sentence never go forth, for the [hostility of the] wicked surrounds the [uncompromisingly] righteous; therefore justice goes forth perverted.” What a strange time of transition this is! On one hand we see nothing but perverseness and trouble, destruction and violence, and strife and contention. On the other hand, when our loving Father opens our eyes and gives us more spiritual understanding and wisdom, we are then able to see things as they really are in the Spirit. Then we can look beyond the spiritual darkness of these times and see that the glory of the Lord is beginning to fill the whole earth, beginning with us!

When our spiritual eyes have been opened, our spiritual ears are tuned to Heaven and our carnal, negative minds are replaced with the mind of Christ, we are then able to see beyond the darkness of this world. We will then see and know, without a shadow of a doubt, that God reigns supreme over all! We will then be able to believe for the impossible! We will then also know that every Word of God shall be fulfilled, and that He is moving by His Spirit, despite the darkness all around us! And then we will believe this prophetic Word from God: “Look around you, among the nations and see! And be astonished! Astounded! For I am putting into effect a work IN YOUR DAYS that you would not believe it if it were told you.” But there is one thing wrong with this last sentence! Instead of reading, “For I am putting into effect a work in your days that YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE it if it were told you,” that sentence should read: “For I am putting into effect a work in your days that YOU WILL SURELY BELIEVE IT if it were told you!” The elect are not unbelievers, WE ARE BELIEVERS! We are not a people of despair and hopelessness, who lack fortitude, faith and determination; WE ARE A PEOPLE OF FAITH AND PURPOSE!

The Life of Christ and How to Attain it
The book of Genesis is the book of beginnings! And the Garden of Eden is the Garden of the Lord; it is a spiritual realm where the path to Life is revealed! The way to achieve His Life is seen in the lives of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden! To confirm this truth, we quote this anointed Word: “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life” (Gen. 3:22-24). Notice what the Lord said about Adam and Eve: “Behold, the man is become as one of us!”

This statement by the Lord literally means that Adam had become as God! The original Hebrew words indicate that Adam and Eve were, in a sense, united with the Lord! They had become a part of God, knowing good and evil. This scripture also suggests that Adam came out of God! Seeing the Godlikeness of Adam and Eve, the Lord knew that if He did not move to prevent their progress, those two would have eaten of the tree of Life and lived forever! So our loving and merciful Father kept them from eating of the tree of life. And for Adam and Eve to partake of the tree of Life, or the Life of God, in their fallen state would have been disastrous! They would have lived forever in their fallen state, thus perpetuating the fallen condition of man throughout the ages to come! But fallen man must die, rather than live forever in his sinful, fallen condition! But in God’s time and order, man shall live the fullness of the Life of Christ with a new mind and a new nature, beginning with the elect, to fulfill the plan and purpose of the Lord.

So God, in His infinite wisdom, sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, thus preventing them from having access to the tree of Life, or to the Life of Christ, which also is the abundant Life of the Kingdom of our Father! The Lord also said, “Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.” From this, we understand that to become one with God, we will grow spiritually “to know good and evil.” We will be able to discern the difference between good and evil, when we have grown and matured spiritually. We shall reign with Christ, when we have fully matured. Then, we shall judge with true, spiritual judgment, discerning good and evil, for the benefit of all! But to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil without partaking of Christ, Who is the Tree of Life, is to short-circuit the plan and purpose of the Lord! He has an order and a plan for our spiritual growth unto full maturity, and that plan cannot be changed or disannulled by anyone, as Adam and Eve might have unknowingly done!

Another great truth we find in this passage of scripture is that God knows that if and when we do eat of the Tree of Life, we shall indeed LIVE FOREVER! If we will walk with the Lord, doing His will as He reveals it, obeying His every Word, we will truly and fully partake of Him Who is the Tree of Life! This is absolute, pure Truth: to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the Garden of the Lord, is to Live forever! And when we do it God’s way, in His time and according to His due order, there will be an end to sin and death, and we shall live the abundant Life of Christ forever, world without end! Amen!

Isaiah, the prophet of the Lord, said, “Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols. But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else” (Is. 45:15-18, see also Eph. 3:21). The Israel of God, or the elect from among true Israel, shall be saved in the Lord with His everlasting salvation! But this time, as we approach the Tree of Life to partake of it and live forever, we will not be turned away, but shall eat to the full and be transformed into His glorious image and heavenly likeness. We will not be ashamed or confounded, reproached or insulted, when we face Him Who is the Tree of Life, for we are doing it all God’s way and in obedience to His perfect will!

Perhaps reflecting on Adam’s experience with life in the Garden of Eden, Isaiah prophesied to let all the elect know that Adam’s experience will not be duplicated, for God will lead His elect in paths of righteousness, as they seek for that Life and the glory beyond. And then the Lord tied our full salvation to the destiny of the earth or to that of the world. Father created this earth as an eternal habitation for man! It is not the old earth, with its sinful effects, that we shall inherit, but it will be the new earth, wherein dwells the very righteousness of Christ. Father created, established and formed the earth to be inhabited, not by fallen, sinful man, but by man in the image and likeness of Christ!

The Lord began this prophetic word through Isaiah, by telling us that He is the God that hides Himself. He is not to be found among the religious systems, nor is He to be found in all the religious creeds and doctrines of man’s creation. Father hides Himself from all that religious “stuff,” for He is Spirit and He is Truth! All of them in that corrupt realm of man’s religious creations shall be ashamed and confounded! They shall all go together to Babylon’s “house” of confusion, for they are trying to come up to the Father’s house by some other way! Therefore, the Lord hides Himself so that only those who are spiritual - only the elect of the Lord - may find Him and join Him there. And where is He to be found in this new Day? Not among the confusion of the religious systems of man, but He is to be found “in the seclusion of the clefts in the solid rock, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff.” (Song 2:12-15, AMP). Indeed, God is the God that hides Himself! But we are blessed to know where He is! He is in the seclusion and in the sheltered and secret “place” in the Spirit! And if we would see Him as He is and become what He is, we will have to go where He is! He is in the hidden “place,” the secluded, sheltered and secret “place,” which is a realm in the Spirit reserved for all the elect, far from the noisy, unbelieving, judgmental and religious crowds of this troubled and confused world!

When the Lord drove Adam out of the Garden of Eden, He sent him out into the old earth “to till the ground from whence he was taken.” And man has been tilling the ground and eating of its earthly fruits ever since that fateful day. But, thank God, the Lord’s decree, driving Adam out of the beautiful Garden of God, to till the soil and work by the sweat of his brow, is not the final Word for man. By following the Lord’s plan and doing it His way, we shall break through the bondage of sin and death, to release man from his painful, earthly labors. Then man - the man in the image and likeness of Christ - shall Live in the new Earth, enjoying the twelve fruits of the Tree of Life forever and ever! Not only are there twelve fruits, with one fruit for each month, but the leaves of that Tree shall also provide healing for the nations (Rev. 22:2). When Christ reigns and His sons with Him, all the nations of this world shall be completely healed of their many ills, for the knowledge of the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth, as the waters cover the sea!

When the Lord sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden, He also “placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” This “flaming sword” describes the work of the Lord among the nations to purify them all, make them righteous and prepare them all for the Life of the Kingdom of God. The prophet Isaiah prophesied of this, when he declared, “For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many” (Is. 66:16). Indeed, the slain of the Lord shall be many, for the fiery, flaming sword of the Lord shall be applied to ALL MANKIND! The Lord will plead with all flesh (as in Rev. 19:11-16, see also Jer. 12:12 & 25:29, 31)! He shall slay the flesh of man with the fiery, flaming sword of the Lord, even the same flaming sword of the Lord that guards the Tree of Life! Flesh cannot get past His flaming sword! All flesh, or the carnal nature of every person of every nation, shall be cut off and severed from every person, making them all pure and righteous as He is pure and righteous, and giving them access to the Tree of Life! And all who have access to the Tree of Life and who eat of Him, shall indeed live forever! Then Father will be able to say of us: “Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now,” he shall finally and assuredly put forth his hand, “and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever!”

What a wonderful promise this is! It is as if Father is saying to us today, as He did to Israel in history, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose (or, accept) life, that both thou and thy seed (as well as all the rest of the people of the world) may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land (the Kingdom “land,” including Zion) which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them” (Deut. 30:19-20).

And then Jesus had this to say about Life: “Enter ye in at the strait gate (or the narrow gate): for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Mt. 7:13-14). May we be among those “few” who shall go in by the narrow way to find that Life, which HE IS! Jesus also said, “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life (in this world) shall lose it: and he that loseth his life (in this world) for my sake shall find it (the greater Life of Christ)” (Mt. 10:38-39). And, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here (yes, even some of us now), which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom” (Mt. 16:24-28).

Jesus also said, “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: IT IS BETTER FOR THEE TO ENTER INTO LIFE halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: IT IS BETTER FOR THEE TO ENTER INTO LIFE with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire” (Mt. 18:8-9). Indeed, the best thing that could ever happen to any one of us is for us to ENTER INTO LIFE! And again, Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and SHALL INHERIT EVERLASTING LIFE. But many that are first shall be last; AND THE LAST (those who are the last to be joined to the remnant company for this sonship walk at the end of the age, which is us) SHALL BE (THE) FIRST” to be transformed into the glorious image and heavenly likeness of Christ, to receive EVERLASTING LIFE (Mt. 19:28-30).

The promises given in the scripture above were recorded by Matthew. But Mark said this about the same promises: “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world (or age, which is the present Kingdom age) to come ETERNAL LIFE. But many that are first shall be last; AND THE LAST (SHALL BE THE) FIRST” to receive eternal life (Mk. 10:29-31). To the woman at the well, Jesus said, “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” (Jo. 4:13-14). May we drink of Him to the full! Then, there will be a well of spiritual water within us springing up into EVERLASTING LIFE! Our blessed Lord also said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (Jo. 11:25-26). Once again, He Who is the resurrection and the Life would ask us, “Believest thou this?” That Life is ours, whether we receive it now or in the years to come! The all-important question for us now is “Believest thou this?” Obviously, believing God’s Word is the key to receiving it! Jesus clearly said, “he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” He or she that believeth in Him shall Live the abundant Life of Christ in glorious fullness and completeness! I trust all who read these pages will believe all that we have quoted from the true and living Word of the Lord, for His Word is our Life!

The Feet Company Must be More Thoroughly Washed and Cleansed
On one occasion, Jesus performed a ritual that may be very strange for us to consider! He washed the disciples’ feet! “After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head” (Jo. 13:5-9). Why did Jesus wash the disciples’ feet that day? He did it to illustrate the great prophetic truth that the feet of the Body of Christ must be more thoroughly washed than any other members of the Body! All that Jesus said and did was prophetic! Therefore, when He washed the feet of the disciples, Jesus was showing that the feet of the Body of Christ must be more thoroughly washed and cleansed!

Peter and the other disciples may not have known why Jesus should wash their feet at that time, but Jesus said to him, “thou shalt know hereafter.” And now, that “hereafter” has arrived! Now we know why Jesus washed the feet of His disciples that day! This is the Day when the elect of the Lord, who are the feet company, or the last to be joined to the company of the sons of God, who are the body of Christ, shall be more thoroughly washed by the Spirit of the Lord! We must be more thoroughly washed and cleansed by the Spirit, for we are the heel of the foot of the mighty Christ-man that shall tread on the head of Satan, who appeared as a serpent in the Garden of Eden. The Christ body shall tread on the serpent, which is the devil (Rev. 12:9 & 20:2), bruising his head with an incurable bruise, bringing an end to Satan! But the old serpent, the devil, shall only bruise the heel of the mighty, strong and gloriously arrayed Body of Christ (see Gen. 3:14-15). And what Jesus said to Peter that day applies especially to the elect of the Lord in this new Day: “If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.” In other words, if we do not submit to the cleansing, washing and purging process of the Lord in our lives, we shall not have a part with Him in the administration of His Kingdom in all the earth!

The feet of the Christ Body, when thoroughly washed, cleansed and made beautiful, shall also be instrumental in bringing to pass many other wonderful promises as well. For example, it is written of the feet company: “HOW BEAUTIFUL upon the mountains ARE THE FEET OF HIM that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” (Is. 52:7). To declare the unsearchable riches of Christ, and the great Glory and splendor of Christ and of His Kingdom, is an honor as well as a high calling, which is to be given to those who have been prepared of the Lord. Only a fully prepared and perfect Man shall tread on the head of the serpent, wounding the evil one with an incurable wound. As the “heel” of the feet company, some will be “bruised” in the process, but they will be victorious over the powers of evil, putting it all under the feet of the Christ Body, which they are!

The Lord also said of us: “I will make the place of my feet glorious. The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations” (Is. 60:13-15). The elect of the Lord, or the sons of God, are the feet of the Body of Christ! They are the “feet,” for they are the last to be joined to the Christ Body, just as the feet of a baby are the last to come out of the womb! And they are all going through severe tests, trials and tribulations! Why is this taking place in your life and mine? Because God is making the place of His feet glorious! When Father is finished with us, He will be able to say of us, “You are now The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I (have made) thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations!” Amen! And it will be worth it all, just to rule and reign with Him!
