Part Thirteen
November 2004

In our previous booklet, we referred to “these are they,...” who were among David’s “mighty men, helpers of the war” (1 Chron. 12:1). Those “mighty men,” were instrumental in conquering Saul’s army, and establishing the kingdom of David over all Israel, by their strength and their abilities in war. Such “mighty men” are needed today, not to wage war or to show strength in and by the flesh, but to be strong and wise in the Spirit, with the necessary spiritual skills and “weapons,” which will enable them to represent the Kingdom of their Father and establish His Kingdom in all the earth. Paul wrote to the Corinthians to say, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds)” (2 Cor. 10:3-4).

Such spiritually strong sons are needed today to war in the Spirit against all evil, against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. And those who are aware of this new Day and all it promises will also know that our spiritual warfare involves RESTING while the Lord does His work, by His Spirit! Our real warfare is in the Spirit! Therefore, the Spirit must do the work! Then there is our ultimate enemy, the last enemy, which is death and all aspects of it.

After being victorious in battle, David said this: “It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms” (Ps. 18:32-34). I would not presume that my arms, or anyone else’s arms, could break “a bow of steel.” This certainly must have been spiritual strength David was referring to, for how else could “a bow of steel” be broken, if not by the mighty strength of the Lord? Our Father in Heaven is the great Power and Authority of the universe! And Christ, the Spirit of the Son, has been given all power and authority in the universe by His Father (Mt. 28:18)! And then Paul said this about Christ, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist” (Col. 1:16-17). And all things “that are in earth,” includes “a bow of steel!” Therefore, all things in the entire universe are under His control; by His power and dominion, a bow of steel may be broken, as well as anything else in the universe!

The more we grow in God and become like Him, the more we realize the mighty power of our Father! He girds us with strength; He makes our way perfect; He gives us hind’s feet, or the symbolic feet of a mountain-climbing deer, so we can walk the high places of the Spirit with Him; He sets us on our high places, and teaches our hands how to war. All this is ours, by the Spirit; it is all made possible for us when we enter into His Rest, and let the Spirit of God do the work that only He can do!

Isaiah, the prophet of the Lord, said, “The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies” (Is. 42:13, NIV). The Lord indeed is our warrior-King! He will triumph over all His enemies and ours, including death, which is the last enemy! The prophet, Joel, prophesied of this spiritual war, saying, “Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel” (Joel 3:9-16).

The prophetic Word of the Lord calls upon “the mighty men” to awaken and prepare for war. These “mighty men,” are not David’s mighty warriors, nor are they literal warriors of this world! They are mighty, spiritual warriors, who are prepared of the Lord for this final conflict. And we are those mighty, spiritual warriors who are told, “let the weak say, I am strong.” Spiritual warriors depend on the Lord for their strength; when the Lord says to them, “let the weak say, I am strong,” they believe His Word and act upon it, when they know He is speaking directly and individually to them! The “heathen” in this passage are not literal nations of people; they represent the many heathen “nations” or heathen characteristics within us all. We believe the term “heathen,” or “nations,” refers to the Adamic nature within all mankind. All mankind are held in the grip of the sinful Adamic nature and mind, represented by “the heathen” in this passage of scripture. Therefore, every war that was fought in this world, as well as all of man’s inhumanity to man everywhere, along with every financial depression or recession throughout history, is a direct result of the man of sin residing within the human race, ruling many among us, and bringing war, trouble, poverty, chaos and confusion to this world (James 4:1-4). Old Adam within us all is responsible for most, if not all, the problems in this world!

This impending spiritual “war” is not for money, or for gold or silver or oil, as today’s wars are; this “war” is an all-out battle against the spiritual forces of evil and especially against the old, sinful, carnal man of the flesh! This future, spiritual “war” is not a war against people and nations, but against the Adamic nature, and all the sin and corruption that “he” has brought to this world. The portion of Joel’s prophecy that might lead us to believe that this is a literal war, are the words, “Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears.” But we believe this is a reference to the necessary preparation of those anointed sons of God who shall take the battle to the real enemy of our souls, and wage all-out spiritual warfare against the Adamic nature and mind, which has enslaved us all. This command also tells us to lay aside our former attitudes of peace and safety, and prepare ourselves for a spiritual war. The time has come when God will awaken us and use us to do battle against that old, sinful, Adamic man of the flesh!

There has already been a war in the heavens! Thus, we read, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Rev. 12:7-9). As a result of that war in the heavens, Satan was cast out of heaven to the earth, and all his angels as well. During His earthly ministry and after the “seventy” returned with joy, telling of their victories over Satan, Jesus said, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven” (Lu. 10:18). We may not know the exact details of that event, which may have taken place at Calvary (Jo. 12:23-33), but we may be certain that Satan was evicted from Heaven. Now he must be evicted from the earth! And the way Satan is removed from the earth, and his negative power and influence broken, is by eliminating the man of sin and removing that “man” from the lives of all mankind. Satan is the evil spirit! Deny that evil spirit a place of power and influence in the earth, and he is a defeated foe! Destroy the power of the Adamic nature and mind in these human vessels, and Satan will have no place where his evil power and influence may be used! Give him nothing to feed on, and the devil will be left out in the wilderness, alone, unwanted and without sustenance! When the last vestige of the man of sin has been removed from these human vessels, Satan will indeed be evicted from the earth! There will be no place left on earth for the devil and his angels!

In this final conflict of the ages, the Lord declared what He would do, when He said, “The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools” (Is. 42:13-15). What an awesome Word this is! The Lord shall indeed go forth as a mighty man, and as a man of war! And He will victoriously defeat all His enemies and ours! Mark it down! Set this Word as a nail in a sure place! This Word is absolute Truth and shall be fulfilled in absolute detail, by the power of the risen Lord of all!

This prophetic Word describes some of what has happened in the past, as well as what shall soon be fulfilled! God has indeed been silent for a long time! He has been quiet and has refrained Himself from saying or doing anything about this gross, deceptive, dark and sinful condition in this world. He has been silent that is - until now! Then He declares, “NOW will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.” Perhaps we will hear Him when He cries like a travailing woman. But it is certain that GOD WILL DESTROY AND DEVOUR AT ONCE! In every other war, there is only destruction! But in this “war,” which is a spiritual war, GOD WILL DESTROY AND DEVOUR AT THE SAME TIME, leaving the earth pure and clean, and in pristine condition. When the Lord wars in the Spirit, there are no leftovers; there will be no signs of the destruction, for all the old, useless elements of the past are devoured, removed and eliminated, to exist no more. Among those old elements of the past are all the negative aspects of the original curse, including our sorrow of life, as well as weeds, thorns and briars, the hard labor of men and women, and the uncooperative and sometimes unresponsive nature of the earth (see Gen. 3:17-19 & Zech. 8:12). And then our Father will make the earth and everything of it refreshingly new, by His mighty, restorative and creative Spirit!

Then the Lord said, “I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs.” When we understand that mountains and hills represent governments and kingdoms, whether large or small, we will then understand this prophecy. God is saying here that He will make all the governments and kingdoms of man a total waste, and will dry up their life-force. The only “life” the man outside of Christ has had in this world is soulish, Adamic life, which is the life of the flesh. And when Father brings an end to man’s governments and systems, He will also dry up “all their herbs,” which represents the soulish life of man. Soulish life is the life of the carnal, Adamic man of the flesh; it is food for the soul, or soul-food. It is that which feeds the soulish appetites of man, including “the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,” which are all to pass away, along with the world, as we now know it, while those who do the will of God shall abide forever (see 1 Jo. 2:16-17). That will be the final destruction of the world’s systems, known prophetically as Babylon. Then, this Word will also be fulfilled: “And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all” (Rev. 18:14).

By the wisdom of God, the Apostle Paul described the man of sin, or old Adam, and “his” deceptive work, this way: “He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God. Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thess. 2:4-12, NIV).

The “man of sin” has been revealed to us by the holy Spirit as the Adamic nature and mind within all mankind, including all Christians. That “man”shall be totally and completely conquered by the sons of God, who are in blessed and total union with Christ, the Lord, the King and the Deliverer of all! The Word of the Lord has been fulfilled! The “day of Christ” has come! The “falling away” has already taken place in Christendom and in the church system! The “man of sin,” also called the “son of perdition,” has been revealed to us by the Spirit! And now the blessed holy Spirit, which is the One Who was holding back the further unfolding of the purposes of God (vs. 6), has ceased withholding and is accelerating the events of this world, to bring to pass the promised deliverance of God’s people. The “proper time” has come! This is our great Day of victory and deliverance! Let us arise and march forward, in the Spirit and by the Spirit, and take the battle to the real enemy of our souls! Speaking of Israel, or His people, the Lord said: “Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms” (Jer. 51:20). In this prophetic passage, the Lord was speaking specifically of Babylon being destroyed by His people. It is prophetic Babylon of the present to which the Word of the Lord is referring, and we are the Lord’s “battle axe”; we are His “weapons of war!”

There is a “man” sitting in the temples of the Lord, which are the souls and spirits of the vast majority of God’s precious people. They do not know it yet, but most Christians are bound by that subtle, sinful “man,” who sits in the temple of their spirits, deceiving them into thinking they are serving the Lord. Every church, every meeting, every religious conference, and every gathering, supposedly called for the glory of the Lord, has instead become that which is instigated, run, ordered and manipulated by man! Old sinful Adam is now completely and entirely running that which calls itself the “church” and all its functions, including all the religious systems of man. For this reason, our Father has called His true sons to cease participating in such soulish, man-oriented, religious practices and enter into the REST OF THE LORD, which is reserved for us in the Spirit (Heb. 4:1-11).

The wonderful truth of God, for those who are truly “begotten of God,” is that the presence of the Lord within them keeps them from evil. We also know that “the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one” ( 1 John 5:18-19, Amp.) Furthermore, the vast majority of the Lord’s precious people are also being held in the grip of that evil one, just as the whole world is, through the power of the old, sinful, Adamic man within them, who is the man of this world, the carnal man of the flesh! The Day of the Lord is upon us! It is the great Day when every other power will be conquered, and the Lord alone will be glorified!

It is by and through the sinful, Adamic nature and mind within us all that the devil, or the evil one, has access to us. Our carnal, Adamic nature is the only access the devil has to us, whereby he deceives us and leads us to do evil! But the Christ within victoriously overrules the Adamic mind and nature within the elect! Also, when He announced that He was leaving the world to return to the Father, Jesus said this: “I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]” (Jo. 14:30, AMP). It was at Gethsemane where Jesus surrendered His own inherent will to the will of His Father in Heaven. And it was also at Gethsemane where His Father completely conquered the carnal will, mind and nature within Jesus (see Mt. 26:36-42)! When the carnal, or the soulish, willful mind and nature of man within us is conquered by surrendering to the will of our Father, there will be no place left within us where the evil one can have any power or influence over us. Jesus came to that place, in the Spirit and by the Spirit, and so can we: by hearing and obeying our Father’s Word! Then we will be able to say, as Jesus did: “The prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]” Amen!

While the evil one continues to enslave the multitudes of this world, as well as those in the religious systems of man, and leads them blindly on, God is raising up His holy remnant, who shall bring deliverance to those deceived multitudes. And in order to bring deliverance to those bound multitudes, we must first be free ourselves! Only a free people can set others free! The holy remnant of the Lord are free of the Babylonish systems of man, which were begun by the Adamic man of sin, which is the man of the flesh. Through the years, as we obediently and faithfully followed the Lord, we were set free from the two major realms of Babylon, which is the religious realm of Babylon, and also the political-governmental realm of the great harlot, called Babylon. When we are transformed to be forever free of the Adamic man of the flesh, which has enslaved us all, we shall then be free of the economic realm of Babylon as well, which is the third and final realm of the great harlot, known as Babylon (Rev. 16:19)!

The anointed prophet of the Lord foretold of this Day and the wonderful work the Lord would do during this great Day. He prophesied, saying, “Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low” (Is. 2:10-12). What peace, comfort and rest we will find when we obey the Word of the Lord and enter into the rock and hide in the dust! The Rock, we believe, is Christ! He is the Rock, which is the refuge from the literal and spiritual storms that continually swirl all around us. The term, “the dust,” is a reference to the dust of the earth in powder form, including ashes. When we “enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust,” in obedience to the Word of the Lord, we are entering into Christ, the Rock, and are symbolically covered with the “dust” of the earth, so we are not seen or perceived by others in this world. We are hidden in the “dust” of the earth and, therefore, are not seen any differently than others in the world all around us. The dust includes ashes, which speaks of the elect as humble and contrite in the sight of the Lord. Not only are we hidden from the world, but we are also seen covered with ashes, to indicate clearly that we are becoming humble and contrite before the Lord.

What a wonderful “place” this is! To be hidden in Christ in that secret place of the most High, as we are, compares with the caterpillar shutting itself away in its cocoon, awaiting its metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly. When its change comes, the former earth-bound caterpillar is then set free from its limitations into its new and greater glory, transformed to flutter about in the freedom and victory of its new life. Likewise, when we are transformed, after being hidden away in this secret place with the Lord, we shall come forth with a new Life, even the Life and Glory of Christ. No more shall we be bound to the earth and the things of it, but we shall be gloriously and victoriously set free, to soar in the spiritual Heavens with the Lord, there to Live and Love with Him forever! No wonder the Apostle exclaimed as he did, saying, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us! For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]” (Rom. 8:18-19, AMP).

“These are they,...” who were among David’s “mighty men, helpers of the war!” Those “mighty men” were strong in battle and also were victorious in defeating the enemies of God’s people. They are a type of the sons of God of this hour, who have been tested and tried in the many “battles” of this life, and have come forth in the victory of Christ! They shall also be victorious in the final war of the ages, even the “war” against the Adamic mind and nature, which has tormented us and battled with us all! The whole world has also been tormented by the “man of sin, “ which is old Adam, and “his” many sinful, rebellious ways. But thank God, the sounds of “war” are being heard throughout the Kingdom “land,” in the Spirit and by the Spirit! The season of “war” approaches, and so does the blessed hour of victory! We are also approaching the moment of the glorious transformation of the sons of God into the wonderful image and likeness of Christ, the Lord of Glory!
While in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, John saw the risen Christ of Glory going to war with His “army” of dedicated sons, kings and warriors. Then he described what he saw: “After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The one Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness). [Ezek. 1:1.] His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand. [Dan. 10:6.] He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God. And the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses. From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the omnipotent). [Ps. 2:9.] And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. [Deut. 10:17; Dan. 2:47.]” (Rev. 19:11-16, AMP).

The title or name of this One, Who appears out of Heaven riding a white horse prepared for war, is “The Word of God.” John told us, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God” (Jo. 1:1-2). And then John declared, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (Jo. 1:14). The Word of God is not a “thing” or an “it,” nor is He merely the spoken word! The Word of God is a Person, even the Person of Christ, the Lord! This is a great mystery! The Word of God is a Spirit-Person just as the Holy Spirit is a Spirit-Person! Christ is not a human person, or a person of flesh and blood; He is a Spirit Person, or a Person of the Spirit! CHRIST IS THE WORD OF GOD! He is the Word, Who was with the Father in the beginning; He is the Word, Who IS GOD! Christ is the Word that was made flesh and dwelled among us; He also is the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father! He is Christ, the Person of the anointed and prophetic Word of our God!

Therefore, when we receive the Word of God, we are receiving Christ! And when we reject the Word of God, we are rejecting Christ, for CHRIST IS THE WORD OF GOD! And when our Father gives us ears to hear all that the Spirit is saying, He is then giving us ears to hear what the Person of the Christ of God has to say about past, present and future circumstances in this world. Several times during His earthly ministry, while speaking to His disciples, Jesus said to them, “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Mt. 11:15). May we all be blessed with ears to hear all that He, Who is the Word of God, is saying and revealing today! And the Word of God for today can only come to us by the Spirit, or through human vessels who have been separated unto the Lord for His Kingdom purposes! All others will declare an old word, a dead word, or a carnal word, which only applies to that which is of the dead past, or of the old, dead church order!

Throughout history, the Lord has always had rebellious people! Like Israel of old, there are Christians today who want to hear only smooth things; they want to hear only comforting words, good words and encouraging words. The Lord said of those people: “For this is a rebellious people, faithless and lying sons, children who will not hear the law and instruction of the Lord; Who [virtually] say to the seers [by their conduct], See not! and to the prophets, Prophesy not to us what is right! Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceitful illusions. Get out of the true way, turn aside out of the path, cease holding up before us the Holy one of Israel” (Is. 30:9-11, AMP).

As far as I am concerned, I want to hear ALL MY FATHER HAS TO SAY, even if it is a hard word to hear and receive! I delight in seeing Him, who is the Word of God, for in seeing Him, I am being changed! But many today have no desire to see Him in the Spirit; they want to see Him in the flesh so they can glory in the flesh. Some only desire to hear that “smooth” word, that good word, and that impure word from the mind of man that is filled with “deceitful illusions!” Some do not want the glory and purity of Christ revealed to them, as was the case with Israel of old, for they do not want to measure up to His standard of holiness and righteousness. But I want my Father to reveal Himself to me through His Word, or by any other method or means He deems necessary, according to His sovereign plan and purpose in grace! Whatever it takes to make me what my Father wants me to be in the glory and honor of His Kingdom is what I desire! I desire and long for His perfect will in my life, as well as His Utmost and His Highest! How about you?

There are many Christians today who have not been given ears to hear what the Spirit is saying! When the nation of Israel came to Moab, the Lord told Moses that He would make another covenant with the people of Israel, in addition to the covenant He made with them in Horeb. Moses then said to the people, “Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles: Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day” (Deut. 29:2-4). No wonder the people rebelled against the Lord and refused to hear and do His Word! God had not given them “an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear!” How could they be expected to hear the Word of the Lord? This is another illustration of the election of God! He calls and chooses individuals according to His own purpose and grace! And if Father calls and chooses someone for sonship, and to serve His Kingdom purposes, He will also give them an heart to perceive, eyes to see and ears to hear! And unless our loving and merciful Father gives us a perceiving heart, eyes to see and ears to hear, we will never understand His Word and His ways, nor will we be able to see or hear the Word of God, by the Spirit!

The Lord also said to His prophet, “Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house” (Eze. 12:2). At this stage, Israel apparently had eyes to see and ears to hear, but they still would not hear and receive all the Lord had to say to them. The Lord called them “a rebellious house,” and that is what they were! To have eyes to see and ears to hear is not enough! We must have more; we must also have a deep, abiding love for our Lord and for the Truth that HE IS, as well as an awareness of the subtle workings of the man of sin in our lives. The sinful, Adamic nature and mind within us all will always attempt to get involved in our lives, by trying to prevent us from wholly following the Lord. But if we have ears to hear, we will hear the Spirit warning us of those spiritual dangers.

The Lord spoke to Saul through the prophet, Samuel, and said to him, “Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king” (1 Sam. 15:22-23). The Lord rejected Saul from being a king in Israel because he disobeyed the Word of the Lord. So also will He reject anyone else from being one of His anointed kings in the Kingdom of God, who does not hear His Word and do His will! (Father has another order and purpose for them!) The man of sin shall not rule and reign in the Kingdom of God, as “he” has ruled in the churches and governments of this world throughout history! Man’s day is over; this is the Day of the pure and perfect reign of the Christ in all the earth! “These are they,” who are pure and perfect! They are being refined in the cleansing, purifying fires of the Holy Spirit, and shall come forth in the image and likeness of Him, Who is The Word of God!

The One Who is Faithful and True, Who comes forth riding a white horse prepared for war, will do some wonderful things in the earth! And what will He do? “He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness. From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron” (Rev. 19:11 & 15). The world has NEVER EVER witnessed anything like this! A King Who passes judgment and wages war IN RIGHTEOUSNESS is unheard of and totally unknown! But the world will soon learn to love and accept this King, and all His co-kings with Him, when they see the manifest righteousness of those who reign in that Day, which also is this Day! Not only will this glorious King and all His co-kings with Him judge and fight a spiritual war in righteousness, but He will also shepherd and control the nations with His powerful, peaceful and righteous staff of iron.

To shepherd the nations is the righteous goal of Christ in the Kingdom of God! A government like this has never ever been seen on earth before! The Kingdom of God is the government of God! It is the Christ reigning, to SHEPHERD THE NATIONS, leading them gently into the wonderful realm of Christ’s dominion! The righteousness, peace, love, and the honor and glory, which will be manifest when the Christ reigns, shall spread throughout all the earth, to cover it completely and totally, as the waters cover the sea! No one will be able to resist or reject His corporate Person, as well as His righteous Kingdom reign of Peace, Prosperity, Salvation and Love, for all shall know Him from the least to the greatest! And then, while in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, which represents this present, Kingdom Day, John described that war: “Then I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops. And the beast was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who in his presence had worked wonders and performed miracles by which he led astray those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue. Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone” (Rev. 19:19-20, AMP).

To understand this prophetic Word of mystery and purpose, we need to first understand who is involved in this war. “Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops,” is Christ and His chosen and elect sons. “The rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops” are the people of the earth, and the “tares,” who supported the “beast” and the “false prophet,” including all who fought for those two. This is the same group as “those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue.” The “beast” is described in the original Greek language as a dangerous and destructive animal, and as a venomous and wild beast. And the “false prophet” is described in the original Greek as “a spurious prophet, a pretended foreteller or religious imposter.” (From Strong’s Concordance.) It should be clear to us all that the “beast” is the devil, for of a truth, he is a dangerous and destructive animal, and a venomous and wild beast. The devil is also referred to in scripture as a “dragon.” It should also be clear to us that the “false prophet” is the sinful, Adamic nature and mind within us all.

The Adamic man, the man of sin, or the “false prophet,” is indeed “a spurious prophet, a pretended foreteller or religious imposter.” The Adamic nature, or the “false prophet,” is also called “leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent” or, “the dragon that is in the sea” (Is. 27:1). Old Adam within us all is the dragon in the sea. He is that typical, sinful sea monster that “swims” in the great sea of mankind, changing the man into another person and causing all mankind to do evil things. Isaiah declared, “the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt” (Is. 57:20). And “the wicked,” or “the troubled sea,” is all mankind with the sinful, Adamic nature and mind “swimming” within their flesh, just as a dragon or sea monster swims in the great oceans. As a religious imposter, the man of sin or the Adamic nature within us all, “sets himself up in God's temple (the Temple within us), proclaiming himself to be God.” And what an imposter that old Adamic man of the flesh is!

Leviathan, the piercing serpent or the dragon in the sea, which also represents the Adamic nature, was to be wounded and then he was to be slain or destroyed. Thus, it is written, “In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea” (Is. 27:1). “Leviathan,” from the original language, is “a wreathed animal, i.e., a serpent, especially the crocodile or some other large sea monster; also a symbol of Babylon.” (From Strong’s Concordance.) I believe “leviathan,” the crooked, piercing serpent, to be the seed of Satan; it is the carnal nature in all of us. It is that carnal, sinful, deceptive and corrupt nature within all mankind that has produced the three-fold realm of the great harlot, Babylon, which now fills the whole world with its sinful, corrupt and counterfeit systems. As a sea monster, or a sea serpent, “leviathan” dwells within the whole human race; it is that power of Satan that leads people, especially our leaders, to lie, deceive and destroy. We know that “leviathan,” or the man of sin within us, is a sea monster, for “his” “father” is “the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan” (Rev. 20:2). Jesus explained how those “tares,” or how “leviathan” the sea monster, got into the human race in one of His parables (see Mt. 13:24-30). “Leviathan,” therefore, is the son of Satan, the seed of the serpent.

“Leviathan” was only “punished”or “wounded” (see Is. 51:9) at Calvary, by the shedding of the precious blood of Jesus. Because of that punishment and wounding, and by the power of the Christ within, we may live in this world free of the destructive and sinful ways of “leviathan,” the man of sin. “He” is still within us, but that Adamic man, or “leviathan,” is punished or wounded, leaving him weakened and subject to the victorious Christ, Who is also within us. But during this final conflict, leviathan, or the Adamic nature in us all, shall be slain. He shall be destroyed and totally annihilated in this final conflict of the ages! The Lord and those with Him “shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.”

Both the “beast” and the “false prophet” are ruling the nations in the world today! There is not a nation or a people on this earth today, except for the elect, who are not ruled by sinful, old Adam, or “leviathan,” the sea monster and the “false prophet,” who is in league with Satan, the great dragon, the sea serpent, or the venomous, destructive “beast.” Therefore, a spiritual war must take place to unseat those two evil entities, clear the earth of their unholy reign of evil, terror and destruction, and establish the Kingdom of God in all the earth as a theocracy, or as the only government in all the earth! The anointed Word of God tells us of the destruction of those two entities: “Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone.”

Those two spiritual entities shall suffer spiritual destruction by being thrown into that “fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone,” which obviously is a spiritual fire (see Heb. 12:9). Then we are told, “And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh” (Rev. 19:21). That “sword,” by which those were slain, is the Word of God. If those were carnal, sinful people who were “destroyed” in that spiritual fire, only their flesh will be destroyed, leaving their souls and spirits to eventually return to the Father. Thus it is written: “Then shall the dust (this fleshly body) return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it” (Ecc. 12:7). No matter how it happens, this fleshly body, which is made up of the dust of the earth, shall return to the earth to become dust once again! And the spirit, which we and all mankind really are, “shall return unto God who gave it!” And the life we live in this world will determine the level in God, or the level or realm in the Spirit, to which we shall return!

The Apostle Paul wrote, by the Spirit, to tell us, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let (or, he who withholds or restrains will continue to do so), until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned (or, tried and punished) who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thess. 2:7-12).

We believe the One who is “letting,” withholding or restraining in this passage is the Lord. To assume that people or the devil could restrain the purposes of God and prevent them from being fulfilled, we believe, is a false assumption. Surely, anyone who understands God, His purposes and His sovereignty, would never ever believe that anyone or anything other than God could do that restraining work. Our sovereign Father and Lord of all does everything He has planned and purposed to do, and no one, whether flesh or spirit, shall ever restrain Him or prevent Him from doing what He has purposed to do from the beginning! Therefore, we believe it is the holy Spirit Who has been doing that “letting” or restraining work. Further, some interpret the word “Wicked,” to indicate that Satan is the one referred to here. But such a carnal interpretation of that word suggests that all mankind are demon-possessed, which is most certainly not the truth. The word, “wicked,” means lawless, a transgressor, and that is what the Adamic nature is! That “wicked” one is the sinful, carnal nature, or old Adam, that is within us all, “even him, whose coming is after the working (or, with the energy) of Satan!”

To show us that “the day of Christ is at hand” (2 Thess. 2:2), all we are looking for is the REVEALING of that “wicked” one. And now we are assured that “the day of Christ” has come, for the Lord has revealed that “wicked” one as the sinful, carnal nature; it is the nature of old Adam within us all. “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved” (2 Thess. 2:8-10). The “wicked” one has been revealed! Therefore, the next thing to take place is: the Lord shall consume (him) with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy (him) with the brightness of his coming.” How blessed and privileged we are to be living in this great Kingdom Day!

Let us now pay very close attention to this special, prophetic Word of the Lord, for it is being fulfilled among us NOW, in this new TODAY! This “wicked” one, or the Adamic “man” of sin, the “man” of this world and the “man” of the church system, is now working in the earth with the energy of Satan. “He” is the “man” of the world, for “he” is the “man” of the political-governmental realm and the economic realm of Babylon combined! And “he” also is the “man” of the church system, or of religious Babylon, for “he” personifies or represents religion in the world today! “He” is the entire Babylon system wrapped up in one corporate “man!” For the first time, we can now see that GREAT BABYLON, the “city” that is divided into three parts, IS NOW ONE COMBINED, GIGANTIC FORCE IN THE WORLD TODAY! The bad news is that this great and powerful Adamic, Babylonish leader is working with the energy of Satan! And, it may be more bad news for some to know, THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO IN AND OF THE FLESH TO GET US OUT OF IT! It is impossible for us to vote, or do anything else in the flesh, to get us out of this conglomerate, Babylonish mess! The Lord our GOD is our ONLY answer; HE is our ONLY hope!

How did we get to this negative state? The anointed Word of God tells us that old Adam, or the “wicked” one, is working with Satan’s energy: “because they (nominal Christians, or the church system) received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Christians today are guided by old Adam and “his” evil, counterfeit schemes! They do not have “the love of the truth, that they might be saved!” “And for this cause GOD shall send (HAS SENT) THEM STRONG DELUSION, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned (tried and punished) who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thess. 2:11-12). That “strong delusion” has come to this nation! This great deception has come upon us because of the many errors and false doctrines of the unrepentant church system! It is God’s judgment upon Christendom! It is gross, spiritual darkness like we have never seen before! And there is nothing anyone can do in the flesh to change it! God and God alone is our only hope! The Kingdom of God is the only solution for a nation gone mad for its “pharaoh!” Man’s misguided misrule is ending! The Kingdom Day has come; it is the Day of the fullness of the reign of Christ in all the earth! Be prepared for a manifestation of the righteous judgments of God and also for His abundant grace and mercy! All things are ready for the next move of the Spirit, which will be a great deliverance for the people of God (see Is.30:1-31:5)!
