THE WORLD TO COME

Part Eight
April 2006

The vision we are sharing in this series will give us a better under-standing of Father’s purposes for the Kingdom of God on earth. The wise man said, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Pro. 29:18). The word “vision,” means a mental sight, a dream, a revelation, or an oracle. Without a vision, or a revelation from God, we may perish. To “perish,” as used here, means to refuse the restraints of Father’s laws or principles, which lead to His Life. The American Standard Version gives this verse as, “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” When we lack a true vision of Father’s ultimate plan and purpose for the world and for all mankind, we will cast off all the protective, growth restraints of the Lord’s principles, which lead to His Life! We will also lack spiritual perception, a purpose for our lives beyond the present and a hope for the future!

God is giving us a greater vision of things to come! He is revealing His purpose for our lives, giving us hope for the future, and is allowing us to see beyond ourselves and our current struggles, to see all that God has planned, not only for those who love Him, but for all mankind as well. May our loving and merciful Father give us all a vision of that new world to come! His vision will not be of earthly things alone, such as the things of this present, temporal, shaking and unstable world. But His vision will also include the Kingdom of God coming to this tired old earth, to change it all and bring forth the new Earth in all the transforming glory and wonder of Christ, Who is the King and Lord of all!

Our Father would give us a clear vision of that new, Heavenly, Kingdom “land,” and of His plan to transform this old earth and make it new. When once we see that new, Kingdom “land,” we will look beyond the “enemies” that may try to prevent us, and will declare the same Word that was spoken by others in history: “Arise, let us go up against them, for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very fertile. And will you do nothing? Do not be slow to go and enter in and possess the land..... God has given it into your hands--a place where there is no want of anything that is in the earth” (Judges 18:9-10, AMP). What a wonderful description of that new, Kingdom “land!” Yet, our new Kingdom “land” is also a spiritual “land” that is rich and abundant with spiritual treasures and Kingdom realities unimaginable that will change this earth to make it into the new earth, which our Father has promised! And we do not need to fight for it or do anything in the flesh to possess it; that “land” is already ours by right of inheritance; it is our special reward; it is our new and greater “promised land!”

The prophetic Word of the Lord is often referred to as a vision. The entire prophecy of Isaiah is called, “the vision of Isaiah the prophet” (see 2 Chron. 32:32 & Is. 1:1). Therefore, a God-given vision of things to come is as a prophetic Word from the Lord, promising a better Day, with better spiritual realities and the wonderful hope and promise of a new world to come. But, lest we be carried away by the many false prophets that abound during this night (as in Jer. 14:14), we must be able to discern between the true prophets and the false prophets, who try to tell us the world to come has already come forth! Our Father will continue to lead and guide all His elect, who have a deep love for Him and His Truth!

In the history of Israel, when he was only a boy, the prophet Samuel ministered faithfully to the Lord. Those days were very much like this present time: it was a time of increased spiritual darkness. It is written of that time: “The word of the Lord was rare and precious in those days; there was no frequent or widely spread vision” (1 Sam. 3:1, AMP). Samuel’s father, Eli, was old and dull of hearing, perhaps spiritually as well as physically. Before the lamp of God went out in the temple, the Lord called Samuel and raised him up to serve in the house of the Lord. By ministering to the Lord, as the priest was called to do, Samuel, though only a young boy, was keeping “the lamp of God” lit and constantly burning “in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was” (1 Sam. 3:3, AMP). As a faithful child (vs. 8), who ministered to the Lord in the temple, Samuel was blessed of the Lord. The Lord appeared to Samuel and gave him the promise of a new thing in Israel (1 Sam. 3:11). “And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD” (1 Sam. 3:19-20).

Surely the Word of the Lord is also precious, rare and in short supply today, for man’s word prevails and is uppermost in the minds of most “Christians.” But there also are those faithful ones today who are ministering to the Lord, thus keeping the typical “lamp” of God burning in the Heavenly sanctuary, which is the glorious realm of Spirit! When the pure Word of the Lord is “rare and precious,” as it was then and as it is now, there will also be the lack of a spiritual vision from the Lord, which would provide a prophetic view or picture of things to come, both on earth and in the Kingdom of our Father. And without that heavenly, spiritual vision of things to come, some of God’s people are “perishing.” If anyone lacks a true, spiritual vision of future things, which includes a vision of Father’s plans and purposes for us and also for the new world to come, they are perishing spiritually!

When God’s people lack a true, spiritual vision they will see only that which concerns themselves. Such “Christians” will see the scriptural references to the Earth, as being the meager, little earth which they are. They cannot see beyond themselves! They will occupy themselves with anything and everything that pertains to self! Lacking a Heavenly vision given them by the Lord, many believers will think only of their own problems and concerns, and also of their own future, whether in this world or the next. But when God gives us a vision, He reveals not only things to come but also His sovereign plan and purpose whereby those things to come shall be fulfilled! And when He gives us a true Vision, our Father is thereby making us a part of His eternal purposes for the world to come. Also, both His Word and a Vision from God are generally complete! God would give us a complete message along with His complete Truth, so we are not lacking in His Truth and His Plan, whereby the Vision He has given us, which is His will and His purpose for the world to come, may be fulfilled on earth, even as His will is fulfilled in the Heavens of His Spirit (Mt. 6:10)! May our Father give us all a vision that will lift us out of our selves and our own little “world,” into the greater glories of the vast, heavenly “universes” of the Kingdom of our Father!

Father’s Purposes For Sending Jesus to the Earth
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, shepherds were watching their flocks by night. The angel of the Lord appeared to those shepherds and gave them this word: “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Lu. 2:10-11). One of Father’s purposes in sending Jesus to the earth was to save His people from their sins. Jesus was born to be the Savior of the world! But this is only one of the purposes for the initial coming of the Lord! There are other, more significant purposes for His coming!

Another purpose for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Earth is to “rule my people Israel” (Mt. 2:6). Jesus was “born King of the Jews” (Mt. 2:2), which tells us He was a King Who would have a Kingdom on this earth. The prophet Isaiah prophesied this about the birth and coming of the Lord: “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. [Isa 25:1; 40:9-11; Matt 28:18; Luke 2:11.] Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. [Dan. 2:44; 1 Cor. 15:25-28; Heb. 1:8.]” (Is. 9:6-7, AMP). Once again the Word of the Lord tells us that Jesus was to have a government that would be upon His shoulder. It would be the government of a Kingdom over which Christ Jesus would be the reigning King! And that kingdom, government, empire or prevailing power, would be “upon his shoulder.” The “shoulder,” as used here, represents the place where burdens are carried, such as the burdens associated with ruling in a kingdom.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was born, not only to save His people from their sins, but also to be the King of a glorious, universe-wide Kingdom, which is the blessed Kingdom of our Father! And the burden or responsibility of the government of that Kingdom was to rest “upon his shoulder,” which includes Christ, the Body, as well as Christ, the Head! For more than two millennia the church has been occupied with only the first part of the Divine purpose for the coming of the Lord to the earth, neglecting the greater truths of the Kingdom of God! The church system has been “working” for over two thousand years telling the world about the salvation of the Lord, yet, they haven’t done that very well either! As a result of this serious lack of Kingdom understanding and Kingdom teaching very few believers today know anything about the Kingdom of God. And now the time has come for the faithful remnant of the Lord to declare the full and complete message of the coming of the Lord, which must include the wonderful, all-encompassing message of the Kingdom of God!

To show the importance, the significance, and the high regard Jesus had for the Kingdom of God, we can see that He mentioned His Kingdom 54 times in the four Gospels. And He also referred to the Kingdom of Heaven 32 times in those four Gospels. But Jesus only mentioned the church three times in two verses in the four Gospels, and seven times in the book of Revelation. The majority of the messages of Jesus concerned the Kingdom of God, and rightfully so! The Church was only purposed of God to be a temporary agency in the earth, while the Kingdom embraces all the ages and their covenants in both the Old and the New Testaments! The Kingdom of God is eternal and continues to exist unto the end of the ages of man in this world. And since we are studying “the world to come,” it is imperative that we consider the next world in the light of the Kingdom of God, and not according to the old, previous and extinct principles of church order!

Those of us who speak for the Lord, who declare the Word of the Lord or the Vision He has given us, have been given this commission from our Father: “Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day. [Heb 10:37,38.] (Hab. 2:2-3, AMP).

The Vision we have, which came from God, is always a complete Vision. And His complete vision will not deceive or disappoint, nor should a vision He gives be relegated alone to a future day! There is nothing lacking of Truth and Purpose in a Vision that comes from God! A true Vision from God will always reveal something of the purposes of God, for the advancement of His Kingdom in all the earth! Though that vision tarries, we are to wait for it, for it shall surely come to pass. The “appointed time,” or the “appointed day,” has arrived! This is the Day/age when God’s Word shall be completely fulfilled, especially that Word that applies to His Kingdom and which also involves us! His prophetic Word will not be delayed during this present Day of consummation, but is even now hastening to fulfillment!

Habakkuk prophesied around 626 B.C., so the vision he set forth was “yet for an appointed time.” But, the Lord also said that that vision “hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint.” According to God’s timing, or His way of keeping track of time, that vision has been hastening to the end, or to the time of fulfillment. In God’s perfect Mind, those almost three thousand years since Habakkuk’s prophecy was given, were as a mere tick on the great clock of eternity! Yet, since that prophecy was given, our Father has been faithfully fulfilling portions of His Word, so that He will eventually fulfill every Word of that anointed prophecy! And how wonderful it is to know, that in the midst of a world of imperfections, and of lies, deceptions and false prophets, God’s Vision, which includes His eternal plans and purposes, “will not deceive or disappoint.”

Of course, I am sure we all know that this applies to all our Father says and does! His Word, His promises, His visions, His sovereign plans and eternal purposes, can never deceive or disappoint anyone! That which comes from the mind of man will certainly deceive and disappoint many, but all that comes forth from the pure and holy Mind of the Lord can never ever deceive or disappoint! His Word, His Will, His Plan, His Purpose and His Vision are all as good, as fulfilling, as full of purpose and as faithful as HE IS! Nothing of this world can ever be as good as HE IS, nor can anything else ever be any better than HE IS! But, by His grace, we will one day soon BE AS GOOD AS HE IS! Amen!

The Lord spoke in times past, and gave His Word concerning future events. But when the people of that day heard the prophetic Word of the Lord, they scoffed and said those things would never take place in Israel in their days. So the Word of the Lord came forth for Israel, saying to them, “Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days drag on and every vision comes to nothing and is not fulfilled? Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord God: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall use it no more as a proverb in Israel. But say to them, The days are at hand and the fulfillment of every vision. For there shall be no more any false, empty, and fruitless vision or flattering divination in the house of Israel. For I am the Lord; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed (come to pass); it shall be no more delayed or prolonged, for IN YOUR DAYS, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the Lord God” (Eze. 12:22-25, AMP).

To share the vision of things to come in the Kingdom of God with those who may not understand is somewhat like Jesus speaking to His disciples in parables. Unless the holy Spirit gives a person ears to hear, they will never understand or grasp such truth. They will only discourage you from seeking the Lord and believing His pure and undefiled Word of Truth! Our Lord warned us of such “friends” and of false prophets, when He said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves. [Ezek. 22:27.]” (Mt. 7:15, AMP, see also Mk. 13:22, Lu. 6:26). The prophetic Word of the Lord, given here by Ezekiel, was indeed fulfilled, as the promised destructive judgments came upon Israel to judge and correct them (see Eze. 12:17-20). It all happened to Israel just as the Lord said it would, but much earlier than they thought possible! Indeed, our Father is ever faithful! He will keep His Word in His time, and will do so according to His eternal purposes and merciful plans!

The holy Spirit is speaking today, just as He did in history. And this is His Word-Vision for us for today: “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will vanish (pass away) with a thunderous crash, and the [material] elements [of the universe] will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up. SINCE ALL THESE THINGS ARE THUS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING DISSOLVED, what kind of person ought [each of] you to be [in the meanwhile] in consecrated and holy behavior and devout and godly qualities, While you wait and earnestly long for (expect and hasten) the coming of the day of God by reason of which the flaming heavens will be dissolved, and the [material] elements [of the universe] will flare and melt with fire? [Isa. 34:4.] BUT WE LOOK FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH ACCORDING TO HIS PROMISE, IN WHICH RIGHTEOUSNESS (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) IS TO ABIDE. [Isa 65:17; 66:22.]” (2 Peter 3:10-13, AMP).

Peter addressed his first epistle to the “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father”(1 Peter 1:1). His second epistle was addressed “to them that have obtained like precious faith with us” (2 Peter 1:1). Therefore, if you are one of His “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father,” and are of “like precious faith” with the saints of old, you will believe all Truth, especially that Truth which is revealed to us by a revelation from God, or from the written Word of the Lord, by the Spirit! In Peter’s anointed, prophetic Word of the Lord, the Holy Spirit is giving us a vision of the “new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) is to abide.”

This is the vision we will have if we are one of His elect! It is not a dead or dormant vision, but it is a vision of the world to come, which the mighty and precious holy Spirit of God will impart to each one of us! And this vision of the world to come will keep us centered on Christ, the Lord, as we continue walking the path and pressing our way into the fullness of Christ, by the Spirit. Perhaps only a few will grasp this Vision! They are Father’s small remnant in the earth, who alone have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying in these spiritually dark days! And this is the vision we must have: “BUT WE LOOK FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH ACCORDING TO HIS PROMISE, IN WHICH RIGHTEOUSNESS (uprightness, freedom from sin, and right standing with God) IS TO ABIDE.”

This is our true vision of future things, of things that can only be seen spiritually, or by the Spirit, at this time! This vision causes us to wait with patience for the morning to dawn, when that which we see only dimly now, shall then become reality! And unless we have this vision, which Peter so eloquently outlined and set before us, we are living far below the spiritual standard established for all those who are growing to full maturity and becoming full-grown, manifest sons of the living God! False prophets are trying to tell us this vision has already been fulfilled, but we know the Truth: the world has never ever witnessed an era when a new earth came forth “in which righteousness is to abide!” Never has the world ever yet witnessed the fulfillment of this Word, but we will, and soon!

Thirty-five years ago, we sang this chorus:
I see a new Heaven,
I see a new earth.
God’s glory is filling
The whole universe!
Gone are the old things,
All things are now new!
God is now bringing,
His Kingdom in view!

Thirty-five years ago, we were beginning to see those new heavens and the new earth, in which righteousness is to abide! We were seeing then that God’s glory was just beginning to fill the whole universe! We knew then that all the old things were beginning to be removed, and that all things would be made new! We really were beginning to see then, that God was bringing His Kingdom into view! And now, thirty-five years later, His Kingdom is indeed coming to the earth! We are seeing more of His Kingdom today than we ever did in the past! That chorus was not just a little “ditty” hatched by someone to make us feel good, but that chorus is a Spirit-inspired chorus with a prophetic purpose in God, causing us to see the coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth in all its prophetic purpose, heavenly splendor and majestic glory!

Little did we know then, as we sang that spiritual chorus some thirty-five years ago, that we were expressing the high and holy purpose of our Father for the world of the future! It is our Father’s sovereign decree, holy purpose and eternal plan to bring forth the fullness of the Kingdom of God, which is to rule and reign over the new earth, the new world, or “THE WORLD TO COME!” But we also know that the Kingdom of God must first reign in our own lives before Christ may reign over the rest of the universe. And unless Christ reigns first within His sons, who love Him and seek to do all His will, how can He reign anywhere else? The wonderful Truth for us to know is that, if we are one of His elect, Christ has been reigning within us, to make of us sons of the living God! Therefore, everything we did in years past - every chorus we sang, every anointed message we heard, every anointed prophecy we gave or received - was all purposed of our Father to reveal the Truth of His coming Kingdom to us, and to prepare us for this great Kingdom Day! We were led by the Spirit each step of the way! By His Spirit we made it safely and surely this far! And also by His Spirit we will make it all the way Home!

The First Coming of the Lord and God’s Purpose for His Coming
David, the beloved King of Israel, prophesied of the coming of the Lord, saying, “THE LORD (God) says to my Lord (the Messiah), Sit at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool. [Matt. 26:64; Acts 2:34; 1 Cor. 15:25; Col. 3:1; Heb. 12:2.]” (Ps. 110:1, AMP). This is a Messianic Prophecy, for it foretells the coming of Christ, as King, to sit at the right hand of the Father on the throne of David, which is the earthly throne of the Lord. Christ was to come as Jesus, to die for the sins of the world. Then He was resurrected and glorified, to take His seat at the right hand of the Father, as Christ the Spirit, where He rules and reigns, making all His enemies His footstool. And we are following a path similar to the one Jesus took! Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, ruling and reigning, making all His enemies His footstool! And He is doing all this with the mighty power and the sovereign authority of the blessed Kingdom of our Father!

David’s Messianic prophecy continues, by telling us, “The Lord will send forth from Zion the scepter of Your strength; rule, then, in the midst of Your foes. [Rom. 11:26,27.]” (Ps. 110:2, AMP). Not only does Christ rule and reign while seated at the right hand of the Father, but His reign includes all the power of God, which He sends forth from Zion! The “scepter” of the strength of the Lord is that almighty, omnipotent and sovereign power of God, which enables Christ with the strength, the power and the authority to rule in the midst of His enemies, breaking them and making them all subject to His Kingdom. Then David said, “Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young men, who are as the dew” (Ps. 110:3, AMP).

That designated Day/age, which is “the day of Your power,” has arrived! This is the thousand-year Day/age of the Kingdom power of the Lord. All other “days,” whether feast days or sabbath days, pointed to this great Day (see Col. 2:16)! This is the great Sabbath Day; it is the Day that fulfills all the other feast days and sabbath days that were observed in history! This is the Day when God’s people, or His elect and chosen ones, “will offer themselves willingly!” It is the designated Day when His “young men, who are as the dew,” or when the newborn sons of God, shall come forth unto Him, “in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning.” It is the great Day when the sons of God shall be born again of the Spirit (John 3:5-8), to be transformed and changed into the glorious image and heavenly likeness of Christ, the Lord of Glory and Life! And when they/we come forth manifesting His Life the morning will then break forth in a brilliant dawning, releasing the creation from its bondages to sin and death and beginning the fulfillment in the earth of all the unfulfilled promises of God! Then the nations will see the salvation of the Lord and will bow before Him in deep and true repentance!

The psalmist David also prophesied, saying, “The Lord has sworn and will not revoke or change it: You are a priest forever, after the manner and order of Melchizedek. [Heb 5:10; 7:11,15,21.] The Lord at Your right hand will shatter kings in the day of His indignation. He will execute judgment [in overwhelming punishment] upon the nations; He will fill the valleys with the dead bodies, He will crush the [chief] heads over lands many and far extended. [Ezek. 38:21,22; 39:11,12.]” (Ps. 110:4-6, AMP). The Lord has sworn by an eternal edict, by His infallible Word and according to His eternal purposes, which can never be altered, changed or reversed, that Jesus Christ is to be an anointed Priest FOREVER after the eternal order of Melchizedek. We believe Christ was and is Melchizedek, King of Salem, or King of Peace, and that He will be that forever and ever!

Christ, the Anointed Son of God, is the One who, as Melchizedek, King of Salem and the priest of the most High God, offered bread and wine to Abraham and then blessed him there at the valley of Shaveh ( see Gen. 14:18-20). And since Melchizedek represented “the most high God,” Who also is “the possessor of heaven and earth,” it is most difficult to understand that Melchizedek could be anyone else but Christ, the Spirit, and the anointed Son of the living God! Who else in that age of the law of the Lord, which was given to restrain man from sinning, could have been Melchizedek? Who else but Christ could have been “Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto (or resembling) the Son of God; abideth a priest continually” (Heb. 7:3). None but Christ, the anointed One, could have been Melchizedek! Christ alone meets all the scriptural criteria describing Melchizedek! He alone is the reference point against which all others will be judged and evaluated! And Jesus also is the Christ, the Son of the living God! Therefore, Christ must also be Melchizedek, including Melchizedek of the past, as well as Melchizedek of the present and the future! We too shall become Melchisedecian priests with Christ, when we are transformed and fully enChristed, as Jesus was!

The Word of the Lord, given by David, also tells us, “The Lord at Your right hand will shatter kings in the day of His indignation. He will execute judgment [in overwhelming punishment] upon the nations; He will fill the valleys with the dead bodies, He will crush the [chief] heads over lands many and far extended.” While Christ, as Melchizedek, sits at the right hand of the Father, ruling and reigning, He will also “shatter kings in the day of His indignation.” Or, the Lord will subdue the kings and leaders of this world, and will then smash their kingdoms and break them up, so that those kingdoms will become “like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, that NO PLACE WAS FOUND FOR THEM” (Dan. 2:35). The Lord, while seated at the right hand of the Father, will also“execute judgment [in overwhelming punishment] upon the nations; He will fill the valleys with the dead bodies, He will crush the [chief] heads over lands many and far extended.” The Lord will indeed do all this! He will execute judgment unto correction upon the nations. He will also fill the valleys with the dead bodies, and will crush the chief heads and leaders of the Babylonish, worldly systems of man. He will do all this while seated at the right hand of the Father! And the only “dead bodies” to be found then will be these old bodies of flesh and blood, which have been influenced and corrupted by the Adamic mind and nature that is/was within us all!

Psalm one hundred and ten closes with this verse: “He will drink of the brook by the way; therefore will He lift up His head [triumphantly]” (Ps. 110:7, AMP). No doubt, we all know what this “brook” is, which the Christ shall drink of as He goes the way of the Lord, bringing forth judgment unto correction in the earth. The word, “brook,” as used here, means a stream, especially a winter torrent, or a brook flowing in a valley. Is not this stream that “pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Rev. 22:1)? And is not the One drinking from this mighty, spiritual River of Life, the anointed Christ Body, doing the will of their Father on earth? Surely, that River of Life, which when the elect drink of it, will then cause them/Him to “lift up His head triumphantly!” Indeed, no other river could ever do what that mighty River of Life will do for all those who will drink of Him!

The Spirit of the Lord was upon the prophet Isaiah, so he prophesied this anointed Word, calling on the Lord and saying: “OH, THAT You would rend the heavens and that YOU WOULD COME DOWN that the mountains might quake and flow down AT YOUR PRESENCE-- As when fire kindles the brushwood and the fire causes the waters to boil– TO MAKE YOUR NAME KNOWN to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble AT YOUR PRESENCE! When You did terrible things which we did not expect, YOU CAME DOWN; the mountains quaked AT YOUR PRESENCE. For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, NOR HAS THE EYE SEEN A GOD BESIDES YOU, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him” (Is. 64:1-4, AMP).

They may not know it yet, but the world of fallen humanity is waiting for an actual, literal demonstration and manifestation of the power and presence of the great God of heaven and earth! And they will witness that mighty demonstration at the manifestation of the sons of God! I wonder if Isaiah might have been as weary, as anxious and as tired of waiting as many of us are, when he gave this anointed, prophetic word of the Lord! I take this as the Word of the Lord given for all of us who have waited for years to see a demonstration and a manifestation of the mighty power and presence of the Lord! I don’t know about you, but I cry out almost daily for God to show Himself in these dark and difficult times. The cry of my heart is that God would rend the heavens, that He would come down to where we are and show Himself, so the nations would know Him! Many of us sense that the time has come for God to come down, to reveal and manifest Himself in us - that He would make His great Name known to the nations, and that the mountains might quake and flow down AT HIS PRESENCE - that all this would take place because of the Presence and Power of the Lord God omnipotent, Who reigns over all, to put every enemy under His feet, including death, the last enemy!
While hanging on that cruel cross, Jesus breathed His last breath and gave up the ghost. And then, “the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, TRULY THIS WAS THE SON OF GOD” (Mt. 27:50-54). What powerful evidence our Father provided for His first Son! Imagine an earthquake, the rocks being rent asunder, the graves of the dead opened, releasing many from death into life again, when the first Son was liberated from this “life” into the greater Life of the living Christ, which He was! Surely, even greater evidence will be given when the rest of the Body of Christ is released from this death into true Life, to be fully revealed and manifested, as sons of the living God!

Is it not written of the elect, “And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven” (Rev. 11:11-13, see also Eze. 37:5-10). Are you ready for this to take place in your life? Are you ready to be so obedient to your Father and His perfect will that you would gladly give up this life to gain the next, greater Life, just to reign with Christ in the Kingdom of your Father?

Like Isaiah, I would be thrilled just to know that God is doing something in the earth to get the world’s attention! If He shook the earth, caused the mountains to quake and flow down, and then cast them into the seas, I would be thrilled to know that God has come down to earth to show Himself as the strong and mighty King and as the sovereign and omnipotent Lord that He is! To know that He is doing something mighty and awesome and powerful and earth-shaking might very well be the best gift our Father could give us! And, by the Spirit, I believe our Father is now beginning to do just that! This just may be our time of victory and deliverance!

How true this prophetic Word is, which we quoted in our January booklet: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore (WE) WILL NOT ... FEAR, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall MAKE GLAD the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. GOD IS IN THE MIDST OF HER; she shall not be moved: GOD SHALL HELP HER, and that right early” (Ps. 46:1-5). The Lord our God truly is “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” He has also provided for us “a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” And where is God while we go through the greater tests and trials of the Day of the Lord? “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” God is with us here on earth, ruling and reigning by His Spirit, keeping us unto the appointed moment of our transformation!

Since our Father provided that River of Life for us, we will drink of His refreshing waters often, by the Spirit! And when we do, those “streams” shall make us glad, despite the times of trial, and of sorrow and unhappiness, for we are a part of that “city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High!” We are citizens of that realm, which is the glorious and magnificent “city of God.” Therefore, “God is in the midst of her; she (WE) shall not be moved: God shall help her (US), and that right early.” And how will our Father help us? By calling forth the harvest of the earth, which will be the manifestation of the sons of God!

The scriptures foretell of a coming day when the Lord will shake both the heavens and the earth. Obviously, that day has arrived! Thus, we read, “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain” (Heb. 12:25-27). No doubt, we all know by now that these are serious days, troubled, difficult and stressful times, as well as refreshing times, because of what our loving Father is doing by His Spirit in this new, Kingdom Day. There has never been a Day like this great Day in the history of the world! Yet, the Word that will preserve and protect us, sustain us spiritually and keep us on the right track is this anointed, prophetic Word of the Lord: “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh (NOW) from heaven!”

The elect, who are maturing sons of God, are given this one vital call of the Spirit: “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh!” The elect sons of God will never refuse to hear Him Who speaks from Heaven, for His precious and valuable, continuing and progressively unfolding Word is our Life! Without hearing Him Who speaks from Heaven we will die, as all others have before us. Therefore, we must hear His Voice and receive His Word, that we might live HIS LIFE! Our blessed Lord also said this: “It is written, MAN shall not LIVE by bread alone, but BY EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Mt. 4:4). But we will read it this way, with greater emphasis on the Truth: “Man shall Live by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God!” Yesterday’s manna will never lead us to the LIFE of Christ! His “daily” Word is what we need now! May we all hear Him TODAY, Who speaks from Heaven NOW, in this new Kingdom Day! HIS WORD will lead us confidently and triumphantly to HIS LIFE!
