THE WORLD TO COME

Part Six
February 2006

To know that a particular spiritual truth or path is real and true, we should always be led and guided by the holy Spirit. We may also find confirmation from a counterfeit. No doubt we have all seen this to be true: whenever the Lord brings forth a new truth or leads us to walk a new path, there will generally be a counterfeit to that new thing. If we see a counterfeit to some wonderful, spiritual truth we have accepted, or a spiritual path we have taken, we must then decide which is real and true and which is the counterfeit. And when we see a counterfeit, we also know there is the real thing that originated with the Spirit of the Lord. For example, there is the true Church and then there is the counterfeit thing that calls itself the church, but which is only a perversion, a copy or a counterfeit of the real thing. At the same time the Lord revealed the new age of the Kingdom of God on earth, there soon followed a “new age” created by carnal man that appeared to be similar in some ways, but which was only a counterfeit or a perversion of the real thing. It was then up to us to determine which was the real and which was the false. With the Lord’s help, and by the leading of the Spirit, we were able to determine the true from the false.

And now, when the Lord is revealing the great truth of “the world to come,” there also is a counterfeit thing in the earth, which is carnal man’s “one world order.” It also is a perversion of the real thing! That so-called “one world order” of man is well entrenched in this country, and there is nothing that can stop it, until the Lord in His mercy should intervene! It is my fervent prayer that Father will give all His elect the wisdom and the understanding to know which is the false and which is the real and the true, and also to know the difference between the two! Man’s “one world order” will bring more confusion, abject poverty, and more war and bondages of every kind and description to this world, making the rich and powerful more rich and more powerful than any time in history! But the Lord’s new world order, or “the world to come,” which is to be administered and governed by Christ and His co-kings with Him, will be just the opposite! In “the world to come,” the just and peaceful reign of Christ will be established in righteousness, to be governed from the royal, spiritual throne of the Kingdom of God. And His Kingdom will bring forth an abundance of true, Spirit-born Love, Peace, Righteousness and Justice to the earth, for the benefit of all! Those who are led by His Spirit will know the difference, for they have ears to hear all the Spirit is saying, and eyes to see all the Spirit is doing in this new Day! They are the elect and chosen ones, who are on the spiritual path to sonship, which will make them fully matured and manifest sons of their Father!

Whenever the Lord reveals new Truth, that new Truth seems to raise more questions than it answers. And it is “normal” for us to ask questions, especially when we are going through so many changes! There are those times when I even question my own walk with God. And that is good for us, considering the prevailing spiritual darkness all around us! It is then that I look back on the path I have taken to see how the Lord has faithfully led me each step of the way. If I see the cross of Christ at various points along my pathway, I then KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I am still on the true Path, which is the Path of the cross, or the Path of the crucified life. I have heard that in the Roman Catholic religion there are the “stations of the cross.” I do not know much about the Catholic religion, but I have heard that they may visit places where those “stations of the cross” exist. But for us, the stations of the cross are not external points on an earthly path or road somewhere, with statutes identifying those stations, but they are real, physical experiences in this life, whereby our fleshly, carnal nature is recognized as being on the cross of Christ, where our outer “man” of the flesh, or the man of sin within us, is “dying” daily.

We use the word “flesh,” to indicate the man of sin within us all. The original word, translated “flesh,” comes from the same Greek word in every verse throughout the New Testament, except for two verses. And that original Greek word, which is translated “flesh” in all but two verses of the New Testament, is “sarx,” meaning the body, as opposed to the soul or the spirit, or as the symbol of what is external or, by implication, human nature, with its frailties (physically or morally) and passions. (From Strong’s Concordance.) Therefore, when the word “flesh” appears in the New Testament, it is generally referring to the human body, as opposed to the soul and the spirit of a person (see Gal. 5:16-17). And we use the word “flesh” in the same way! The flesh, or our fleshly body, with its frailties, passions and lusts, is in direct opposition to the other two parts that make us what we are as a person, which are the redeemed soul and the spirit.

When we look back on the path we have taken, we will see those points of the cross and how the cross of Christ has kept our carnal man, or the flesh, from ruining our lives. And, by the wisdom of God, we will symbolically leave our flesh on the cross, knowing there is no good thing in our flesh. The cross of Christ is always with us if we are one of His elect! As long as we are living the crucified life, we know we are on the true Path, which leads to the fullness of Christ! Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it” (Lu. 9:23-24). Indeed, we are called to DAILY take up our cross and follow hard after the Lord. And we are also losing our own lives in this world for His sake that we might find our new life in Christ, and in the greater Glory of the Kingdom of our Father!

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians, to say, “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world” (Gal. 6:14). The term, “should glory,” means to boast about something, or to vaunt it or brag about it. If there is any glory or boasting to be done, let it be about Christ and His cross at work in our lives, “by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” As long as Christ and His cross are effectively working in our lives, we know we are on the true Path and are walking out the Truth, as He has revealed it to us!

The New Heavens and The New Earth: is it Literal or Spiritual?
When most Christians read something in the Bible they do not understand, the first thing they will do is spiritualize it and then forget about it. They will assume that the passage they do not understand must have a spiritual application, and must be fulfilled spiritually, which they then put “on the shelf,” as something to be understood some time later, perhaps in the “sweet-by-and-by,” whenever that is! God’s Word tells us: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). The task before us all is to rightly divide the word of truth! And I firmly believe it is incorrect to assume that the Bible should ALWAYS be interpreted spiritually! And, it is just as incorrect to assume that the Bible should ALWAYS be interpreted literally or naturally! We must learn to rightly divide the word of truth! And when we do so, we will take each scripture and allow that the particular verse or passage we are studying can be interpreted either spiritually or literally. For example, the term, “the world to come,” can be interpreted either spiritually or literally, or both ways. Only as we study each scripture properly and allow the holy Spirit to reveal the truth to us, are we then “rightly dividing the word of truth.”

When the Spirit revealed the wonderful Truths of the Kingdom of God coming to Earth and of the new world to come in the outpouring of the Spirit in 1953, it was revealed to us as a spiritual Truth, which was to be fulfilled literally and naturally on this earth. And in those days, we generally accepted and understood that Truth as having a literal and natural application, which we did not question, because of the awesome Presence of the Lord at that time! Much of what the Spirit revealed to us in the appearing of Christ as the Latter Rain (as in Hos. 6:1-3) from 1948 to 1953 has already been revealed to His people. And those truths have also been fulfilled in a people, thus completing God’s purpose for that new Truth. Every new Truth must be revealed to a people, usually to the remnant, and then it must be fulfilled in or by that remnant. But there is one Truth that has not yet been fulfilled, either in a people, or in the earth. And that Truth, which was revealed in 1953, is the Truth of “The World to Come.” Every other Truth, which the Spirit revealed in the Latter Rain outpouring, has already been fulfilled on earth or in a people! And since the Truth of “the world to come” must yet be fulfilled in the earth, I do not expect that there will be another outpouring of the Spirit, until all the Truth revealed in the Latter Rain appearing of Christ, from 1948-1953, is entirely and completely revealed and fulfilled!

Furthermore, any new Truth we receive from the Lord comes to us in the form of a Word, by a revelation of the Spirit, but it is still in the form of a Word only, and remains within us as a Word, or as a revelation, until the time of fulfillment. The Truth of “the world to come” has been in my spirit, as a Word that came to me by revelation, for over 50 years! And now, the time of fulfillment is fast approaching! The world or the earth around us is changing drastically! It is obviously the time for the Word of Truth about “the world to come,” to be fulfilled literally and naturally on this Earth, by the omnipotent and sovereign Spirit of God!

When the Spirit was moving, as He most certainly was in those years, it was easy for us to accept whatever the Lord revealed to us. Now, during this dismal and dreary midnight hour of spiritual darkness, any new Truth becomes a problem for people to accept and believe. But, during a night time period, such as we are going through now, any and all new Truth must be presented before the Lord, asking that His wisdom and understanding would be given us, as we seek to know and understand all He is revealing to us at this time. We need His Spirit now, more than any time in history, to guide us into all Truth and show us things to come (John 16:13). This is our Lord’s promise; it is what He is doing now for His elect! And when the holy Spirit reveals Truth to us, it is ours forever!

The prophet Isaiah prophesied, saying, “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. [Isa 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev 21:1.] But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a rejoicing and her people a joy” (Is. 65:17-18, AMP). The Lord said He would create a new heaven and a new earth, and He is doing exactly that, even as I write these words! This beautifully inspired, prophetic promise is not to be spiritualized and relegated to a “shelf” somewhere, but it is purposed of our Father to be believed and accepted by all His elect, as the absolute, Living Truth of God!

Then that Living Truth, which is Christ, must find lodging in our hearts, where it/He shall grow and bear fruit in the Kingdom of our Father! Truth such as this should not cause us to be fearful, or to draw back in unbelief, but we should heed the Lord’s admonition and “be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create!” And all the Lord’s elect and chosen ones will indeed rejoice and be glad forever in that which He is creating, for it is our Father’s promise to bring forth a better world, a world that He has created for all mankind. That will be a world without the curse, a world full of the righteousness of Christ, without any sin, sickness and disease; it will also be a world where death shall ultimately be put under our feet, to be conquered and eliminated forever from the earth! This good news should cause us all to rejoice, with joy unspeakable!

The Lord made sure we understood this prophecy as being literal, natural and physical, for in the next few verses, He said this: “There shall no more be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who dies prematurely; for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner who dies when only a hundred years old shall be [thought only a child, cut off because he is] accursed. They shall build houses and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them” (Is. 65:20-21, AMP). That this prophecy is all about the new Earth or the world of tomorrow is clear! In Heaven there will be no infants or old men dying at any age, nor will houses be built in Heaven either! And vineyards and other crops will not be planted there as well! This prophecy is all about the new earth and the new heaven of this worldly or earthly realm, which is being changed by the transforming power of the Heavens of God’s Spirit! The New International Version translates that verse this way: "Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed” (Is. 65:20, NIV). And that is what it will be like in the new world, or in “the world to come!” This is a description of real people living in the real world of tomorrow! This is not some dream of man, or the idea of the carnal-minded new agers, or of those who espouse man’s one world order! This is the Living Truth of God for His Kingdom! It is our Father’s loving Plan and merciful Purpose for all mankind in the world to come! And it shall surely be fulfilled in the only way God intended it to be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God, which is literally and naturally in the “the world to come!”

The King James Version also says this, “but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” Or, the sinner who dies at a hundred years old will be considered accursed, because he died so young. The Lord will also prolong the lives of “sinners” to a hundred years and beyond. This will allow them time to witness the Love of God, which will lead them to the Lord. And it is possible and highly likely that the multitudes who know not the Lord will surrender to Him when they witness the many spiritual and natural wonders of “the world to come!” Love, Life, Peace, Justice and Righteousness shall prevail and cover the Earth as the waters cover the sea, in the new world of the future! Then, many will accept the Lord, and will want to live for Him. And those multitudes will want to live for Christ and His Kingdom in the new and more glorious order of the Kingdom of God on earth, even though they may have rejected Him in the former church order!

When Noah and his family came out of the ark after the flood, he built an altar unto the Lord and offered burnt offerings unto Him. Then, we read this Word: “And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” (Gen. 8:21-22).

According to Strong’s Concordance, verse twenty-two should read like this: As long as the whole earth “remaineth,” or continues as it is for the duration of the “day,” or for the designated time period, “seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” But, at the end of the “day,” or at the end of the designated time period, “seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night,” as we know it now, shall indeed cease! The way this scripture is written strongly implies that the conditions and characteristics of the surface of the earth during this present “day,” or time period, shall indeed be changed, to bring forth the new world of the future, and that will be “the world to come!”

In the new world, or “the world to come,” we may not have “seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night!” The earth will change, for God is bringing forth a new Earth, without any curse upon it, but where His Righteousness shall prevail! In the new Earth, or “the world to come,” seedtime and harvest will no longer exist, for there will no longer be changing seasons. Rather, the new Earth will most likely be blessed with a constant and moderate temperature, with no rain or snow, or cold and heat, or summer and winter, and perhaps also without day and night (see Rev. 21:1-2, 25 & 22:5). The curse will be removed from the earth, allowing man to put a plant in the ground that will produce fruit all year long, which may also continue bearing fruit for many years (see Rev. 22:2, of course, this verse has a greater, spiritual meaning, but is it possible that all other trees or plants will also produce fruit every month?)

We may wonder how things will change on earth when the curse is removed! It will also help us to understand the curse, and why the Lord used it in the first place. The Lord’s prophet said this about the curse: “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left” (Is. 24:5-6, see also Gen. 8:21, Da. 9:11, Gal. 3:10-13 & Rev. 22:3). The Lord cursed the earth and man’s life in it because His people defiled the earth, transgressed His laws, and broke His everlasting covenant! For this reason, the earth is devoured, and those who dwell in it are desolate and are judged and burned in the consuming fires of the presence of the Lord. But in the new Earth, sin will be a thing of the past. God will deliver His people, or His elect from sin first (Is. 6:5-7 & Jer. 31:33-34), and will eventually remove sin from the lives of all mankind (John 1:29 & Ro. 5:18-21). And when the Lord brings forth an obedient and faithful people, who are free from sin and who are committed to doing all His will in the Earth, He will then remove the curse and restore the Earth, including man’s life in it, making the Earth new and abundantly fruitful for all mankind in the new world to come!

To answer the question as to how things will change when the curse is removed, we should first consider what God cursed and what He said at that time. First, the Lord cursed the serpent. Then He said to Adam, “Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Gen. 3:17-19).

Let’s take them one at a time. First, the Lord said to Adam, “cursed is the ground for thy sake,” or cursed is the ground because of Adam’s sin. The curse remains to this day because of the Adamic sin in all of us! Therefore, the ground, or the literal soil of this earth, is affected in some way by that curse. The soil of the earth now is of less value or is less in quality than it was before the curse. That means the soil we use now is less productive than it would be without the curse. When a seed is planted in the soil now, it requires the right mixture of rain and sun, as well as protection from weeds and insects that destroy the plants. The soil, or the ground itself, is cursed, so that its quality is diminished, causing the plants to “struggle” against its “enemies,” making it more difficult for plants to survive. But in the new world to come, the curse of the soil will be lifted, releasing the soils of the new earth to produce abundantly, without any restrictions or “enemies” of any kind.

Then the Lord said to Adam, “in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.” Do you realize that our lives are full of continual sorrow, because of the curse? Do you know that when you sit down to the dinner table, you are actually sitting there eating “in sorrow,” according to the Word of the Lord? And this condition was to continue “all the days of thy life!” Even though we may be celebrating something with relative joy when we partake of the fruit of the cursed soil, we are still eating “in sorrow!” The tendency now-a-days is to add some “spin” to something negative, to make it sound a little better. Politicians do this quite well! But there is no way to “spin” the Truth of God, to make it sound better. God’s Word clearly tells us that we eat in sorrow because of the curse, and that is what we do, whether we think so or not. But when the curse is lifted and removed from the earth, mankind shall be released from all sorrow and pain, and will enjoy the new and more abundant JOY of the Lord, in the full splendor and glory of His righteous Kingdom! Imagine the JOY to be experienced by all mankind when the curse is removed from the earth! We may experience some relative joy now, but wait until the curse is removed! Then, we will know real JOY, which is the jubilant and abundant fullness of THE TRUE JOY OF THE LORD!

The next thing the Lord said was: “Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee.” I am sure we all know how true this is! Thorns and thistles are to be seen everywhere, throughout the world. Such weeds grow in our gardens, our fields, along the roads, and everywhere else. To make sure that those weeds cover the earth, God gave the thistles seeds that form from the flower and then grow wispy and willowy “wings,” by which those seeds are carried wherever the wind blows them. Also, some of the most beautiful flowers have thorns that adorn their stems. All this is part of the curse, and you cannot pick a lovely rose without feeling the thorns that are the result of the curse. But, thank God, in the world to come, there will be no more thorns and thistles!

Then the Lord said, “and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.” We most certainly do eat the herb of the field, but what is the alternative? If we do not eat the herbs of the field, or the plants that grow in our fields, what should we eat? Of course, there is meat, but I have an inkling, perhaps it is an unction or an inspiration from the Lord, that we will be eating food of a different kind and of a different nature in the new world to come. Manna from Heaven was provided for Israel in the wilderness under the old order of the law. But when we come out of our “wilderness” of this world of tests and trials, into the greater Glory of the Kingdom of our Father, we may be eating Heavenly Manna that is unlike anything of this world! In the natural, the food we will grow on the ocean floor, when there are no longer any seas, will be the richest food man has ever known! When man eats that rich, natural food his life will be extended and people will live for centuries. But, I hasten to add, natural food alone will not give us more years to live. Rather, I believe the Spirit of God will give man something spiritual, something more than what we have now, and that spiritual “something,” such as the Life of Christ, together with richer food, will cause man to live for many centuries. O the wonder of the new world to come! It is worth any sacrifice we are called to make, just to set foot on that new and more glorious Kingdom “Land!”

The next part of the original curse, says this: “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground.” Our Father already told us we would eat “in sorrow.” Now He tells us we will eat bread “in the sweat of thy face.” And who among us has not yet discovered that when we work in the fields growing wheat to make bread, we will perspire, sometimes until we think we must be completely drained. I can’t speak for anyone else, but for me personally, whenever I work, my face is the first thing to sweat. Here again, we see how accurate and precise the Word of the Lord is! Not only will we eat bread in the sweat of our faces, but we shall do so “till thou return unto the ground.” When the curse is removed from the earth, there will be no perspiration, if indeed there might possibly be any of that hard work to do. Further, people will not be dying and returning to the ground as they are now, for the life of man will be extended far beyond three score and ten!

And finally, the Lord said this when He cursed Adam: “for out of it (or, out of the ground or out of the dust of the earth) wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” At the present time, and all during this entire second world order, mankind has been “living” in bodies of flesh and blood, in bodies that were taken, by the Lord, out of the elements of the ground. Our physical bodies consist of the same chemical elements that are found in the soils of this earth. We were taken out of the dust of the earth! And when we die, our bodies shall return again to the dust from which we were taken. But in the world to come, the elect will no longer “live” in flesh and blood bodies! Instead, we shall live in new bodies of the Life and Glory of Christ! And those bodies shall never return to the dust of the ground, for they were not taken from the dust of the earth! God will have given us our new bodies, which are bodies of Spirit Life and Spirit Glory! They are Spirit bodies, yet will appear to be real, living bodies, as a result of the manifestation of the sons of God, which will have released the creation from its long and painful bondage to sin and death!

This is the Lord’s promise for all who now mourn and travail in pain, waiting to be delivered: “As the pregnant woman approaches the time to give birth, She writhes and cries out in her labor pains, Thus were we before Thee, O LORD. We were pregnant, we writhed in labor, We gave birth, as it were, only to wind. We could not accomplish deliverance for the earth, Nor were inhabitants of the world born. Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits” (Is. 26:17-19, NAS). What a wonderful promise!

Throughout our journey in this realm, especially in our later years, we were as a pregnant woman approaching her time to give birth. We went through all the travails and the groanings, along with the pain, as we cried out like a woman going through her labor pains. But we only gave birth to the wind! Without His appearing to us and in us, we could not accomplish deliverance for the earth, nor were any of the inhabitants of the world of the dead born or raised to a new Life. Yet, despite our apparent spiritual lack, we know we are on the right track; we are walking the path that leads to Life! And we cherish the abundant and eternal promises of God, which are, “Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.”

Although all who once lived this “life” are now dying and returning to the dust of the earth from which they came, we KNOW, by the mighty power of God, and not by any of our own works, that God shall raise up from the graves His fallen creation, imparting His Life to them all, which will cause them all to LIVE AS HE LIVES, IN THE NEW WORLD TO COME! This will BEGIN to be fulfilled naturally and literally in the world to come, as each person in their own order or rank is transformed by the Spirit of the Lord! Thus, we read, “For since [it was] through a man that death [came into the world, it is] also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead [has come]. For just as [because of their union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive. But each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah) [is] the firstfruits, then those who are Christ's [own will be resurrected] at His coming. After that comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every [other] rule and every authority and power. For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet. [Ps 110:1.] The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death” (1 Cor. 15:21-26, AMP).

By the wonderful and liberating reign of Christ, we shall be changed into His glorious image and heavenly likeness! Ultimately, all mankind shall also be transformed, just as we were! Then, every enemy shall be defeated and put under His feet! That is the Word of the Lord! And His Word shall be fulfilled in exact detail! Christ must reign until He has put every enemy under His Feet! This is the main purpose for the reign of Christ! And He must reign, in union with His sons, until every enemy, including death, the last enemy, has been put under our feet!

There is a sense where the devil is one of our enemies. However, the scriptures tell us that Jesus was led of the Spirit, to be tempted or tested of the devil (see Mt. 4:1). There are those times when we are also led of the Spirit to be tested of the devil, just as Jesus was! Is it not true then that when the devil tests us, as He did Jesus, he is serving the Lord and is doing the will of God? It must be so! And we will be blessed with the same results that Jesus experienced after He was tested of the devil! Like Jesus, angels shall minister unto us and we shall be strengthened of the Spirit, after being tested of the devil (Mt. 4:11). Jesus is the pattern Son! Therefore, much of what He endured, we will also endure.

Without a doubt, the devil is not our worst enemy. The most destructive “enemy” we have is the sinful, Adamic nature and mind that is a part of each one of us. As far as I can see, this is our greatest enemy! But when sinful old Adam is removed from us and is no longer a part of us, the devil will then have no way of entrance into our lives. He will then be a defeated foe! He already is a defeated foe, but if it is the Lord’s will for us to be tested, He will call upon Satan to do that work, a work that “he” is well able to do. In due time, when we are fully matured as manifest sons of God, we will have a new nature and a new mind, and old Adam will no longer be a part of us! Christ reigns to bring that enemy and all other enemies under our feet forever! And then, when He has defeated and destroyed all enemies, Christ will deliver up the Kingdom to the Father, and will also Himself be subject to the Father, that God may be all and in all!

The prophet Isaiah, calling to all the spirits of the departed who lie in the dust of the earth, said, “You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.” Perhaps this will be our Voice, or the Voice of the Spirit within us, calling to all the dead in their graves to “awake and shout for joy,” and come forth from their graves to behold the new world, or the world to come. The prophet also says, “And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.” That will be the new Earth, wherein dwells the Righteousness of Christ. It must be the New Earth, for the old earth would only bring forth after its kind, which are more bodies of flesh and blood, resulting in more sin and death! But when the Glory of the Lord covers the Earth as the waters now cover the sea, that new Earth will bring forth bodies after the image and likeness of Christ, because of His Glory that will permeate the new world to come!

When the Earth is made NEW and recreated and regenerated (as in Mt. 19:28), it shall then indeed “give birth to the departed spirits.” Isaiah also asks, by the Word of the Lord, “Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children” (Is. 66:8). Here again, the prophet suggests that the Earth will give birth, and will do so “in one day!” I may not understand it all, but I believe it, for it is my Father’s pure and unadulterated Living Word of Truth, even the Word by which all things were created and given form and substance (see John 1:1, 14, Col. 1:16).

There is another reason why those departed spirits, shall arise and come forth. It is because their dew will then be “as the dew of the dawn,” or, as the heavenly “dew” of the Spirit, which will be manifest when the morning dawns! When the Kingdom morning dawns on the new Earth, the elect, who are now in graves, shall be anointed with the “dew of the dawn,” which will be an anointing unto Resurrection! That anointing will be upon them in glorious fullness, causing the Life of God to raise them up to His new Life! In the new Earth, or “the world to come,” the Glory of the Lord will fill and permeate everything in and of the Earth, including all that is “under the earth” (see Phil. 2:10 & Rev. 5:3, 13), such as the bodies of the deceased!

Yet, we must also know it will not be the dead bodies in the graves that shall arise in the Resurrection, but it will be our new bodies of the Life and Glory of Christ that shall come forth (see 1 Cor. 15:35-44), possibly with the appearance similar to the person who died. Is it possible and even likely that we will be known then as we were known in this world, when we are in our new bodies? Just as we are each uniquely and “manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (2 Cor. 3:3), so also might we have our own unique, physical identity, similar to the one we had in this present world. That may be the truth, but as far as I am concerned, I will leave that with my Father in Heaven!

What we do know is this: “Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise.” We also know, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, THAT THE LIFE ALSO OF JESUS MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR BODY. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh” (2 Cor. 4:8-11). And the result of our “sufferings,” will be the same as the Apostle’s: “So then death worketh in us, but life in you” (2 Cor. 4:12). Or, the death of Christ works in us, who are the elect, so that we may come forth in Life, making it possible for the Life of Christ to fully work in the rest of the creation! It is also for the rest of the creation that we are living spiritually as we are, so that the Life of Christ may be given to all of them as well!

The new Earth, or the world to come, will be characterized by LIFE, even the Life of Christ! No longer will sin and death reign, as it does now and as it has for the last six thousand years, for our omnipotent Father will bring forth a new Earth filled with His Life, His Righteousness and His Love, including all else that God is! The Apostle Paul wrote to say, “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; MUCH MORE THEY which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness SHALL REIGN IN LIFE by one, Jesus Christ. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord” (Rom. 5:17, 21). The transformed elect shall REIGN IN LIFE by our Lord Jesus Christ! Their reign shall take effect when they receive the abundance of His grace and the gift of His righteousness, which is freely given them to raise them up to the eternal LIFE of their Father!

John, while in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, said that God has redeemed us by the blood of Jesus, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” (Rev. 5:10). It is on the new Earth where we shall reign, but with new bodies of the Life and Glory of Christ! John, while in the Spirit, also saw this: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be NO MORE CURSE: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev. 22:1-5). Where is the curse? It is in the earth, the same place where “the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be.”

The Lord’s “servants,” or His elect and chosen ones, shall serve Him faithfully! They shall see His face, the face of the only begotten Son of the Father, and shall be transformed by the Glory of Christ, which they have seen! And “his name shall be in their foreheads,” indicating that they have received their Father’s authority to do all His will, whether on Earth or any where else, including the Heavens of His Spirit! “There shall be no night there (where they are, which is on Earth); and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light.”

Day and night have never existed in the Spiritual Heavens or the Heavens of God’s Spirit! There, they never needed any other kind of light, including the light of the sun or of a candle, for the Lord is the Light and the Glory there, in that Heavenly realm of Spirit! But on Earth, day and night have existed, and we have known the power of both. In the new Earth, or the world to come, “there shall be no night there.., (which is on Earth, where the curse was) for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign (on earth) for ever and ever!” By the Light of His transforming Glory, which will be within us and upon us, we shall reign in and with Christ, our Head, in Life, Righteousness, Love, Honor, Peace and Justice, and we will do so on Earth forever and ever! “The world to come,” or the new Earth, will be created for all when we become all that HE IS!
