THE WORLD TO COME

Part Five
January 2006

The devastating hurricanes that have swamped the Gulf Coast of our nation recently are certainly signs of the times. This is most certainly the Day of the Lord, the day that was foretold in the prophetic Word of the Lord! This is also the night time, possibly the midnight hour, of the new Day of the Kingdom of God on earth. There have been many days of the Lord in the past, as the Lord judged nations and people in history. But each one of those days of the Lord pointed to this greater Day of the Lord and to the greater purpose of our Father! It is His plan now to judge the whole world, beginning with this nation! He will judge the nations and correct them that He might establish His righteous Kingdom in all the earth. The time has come, the Day of the Lord is here, and God is bringing judgment on the world, beginning with our own beloved nation and people.

To prepare us, not for that which is coming, but for that which is already here, the prophetic Word of the Lord tells us this: “Enter into the rock and hide yourself in the dust from before the terror of the Lord and from the glory of His majesty. The proud looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be humbled; and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For there shall be a day of the Lord of hosts against all who are proud and haughty and against all who are lifted up--and they shall be brought low-- [Zeph 2:3; Mal 4:1.]” (Is. 2:10-12, AMP). Earlier in the history of Israel, this prophecy had a more literal interpretation, suggesting that people may hide themselves in the rocks and caves and the dust of the earth from their enemies (1 Sam. 13:6). But for us today, this prophecy has a greater, spiritual interpretation. It would do no good for anyone to hide in the rocks, the caves and in the dust of the earth today, for it is God Who is shaking the earth, to bring man down, to be humbled before the Lord and brought low. The rocks, the hills, the caves and the dust of the earth could never be a refuge and a shelter, to hide us from the Presence of the Lord, Who is a consuming fire.

Therefore, our present hiding place and our place of refuge, must be the great Rock, which is the Lord our God! The Psalmist said, “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower” (Ps. 18:2). He is our Rock, our fortress, our shelter, our deliverer and our strength! He is the Rock we have entered, where we shall find refuge from the many, various “storms” that have come upon the earth to judge mankind. We will flee to Him, Who is our Rock of salvation! He will protect us from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty (Is. 2:10)!

We are also told to “hide yourself in the dust.” The word “dust,” as used here, may mean the dust of the earth. But there is a greater, symbolic, spiritual meaning for “dust” as well. The dust of the earth also includes ashes. And dust and ashes represent a broken and a contrite heart, which is an attitude we all should have at this time. Job said, “He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes” (Job 30:19). Many of us have been in “the mire” for sometime now. And, like Job, the “mire” we are in has symbolically clothed us with dust and ashes, making us humble, broken and repentant in His sight. We are truly sheltered in the Rock of God, and are also hidden in dust and ashes, which are symbolic of a repentant and a contrite heart, where we are protected by the Lord, as the many “storms” of the Day of the Lord swirl all around us, to fulfill our Father’s purposes.

The Day of the Lord is clearly “against all who are proud and haughty and against all who are lifted up--and they shall be brought low.” And since many of us have already been judged of the Lord, we are free from the present judgments of the world. Paul wrote this great truth, when he said, “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned (or judged and sentenced) with the world” (1 Cor. 11:31-32). Many of the elect have already been judged, chastened and corrected of the Lord! Therefore, we will not be “condemned,” or judged and chastened, along with the rest of the world! The Lord is beginning to judge and chasten the world! But we will not be judged along with the world, for we have already gone through this process of judgment unto correction!

However, many of us are suffering the spiritual travail of soul and spirit, just as a woman travails when she is ready to give birth to a child. We shall soon give “birth” to the Manchild, which is the manifestation of the sons of God! The next event, which must take place before any other prophetic Word may be fulfilled, will be the appearing of Christ, resulting in the manifestation of the sons of God! In preparation for that great event, all the proud and haughty among the elect have been and are being judged and corrected of the Lord and brought low, that He might lift us up to the greater Glory of the fullness of Christ and the Kingdom of our Father!

Isaiah’s prophecy continues, by saying, “Then the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols shall utterly pass away (be abolished). Then shall [the stricken, deprived of all in which they had trusted] go into the caves of the rocks and into the holes of the earth from before the terror and dread of the Lord and from before the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake mightily and terribly the earth. [Luke 23:30.] In that day men shall cast away to the moles and to the bats their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, To go into the caverns of the rocks and into the clefts of the ragged rocks from before the terror and dread of the Lord and from before the glory of His majesty, when He rises to shake mightily and terribly the earth. Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth?” (Is. 2:17-22, AMP).

This is the beginning of that Day, even the great Day, when the Lord alone shall be exalted. In this great Day, which has just begun, all the idols of man’s religions and man’s empty, religious works “shall utterly pass away (be abolished).” In this great Kingdom Day, and in the world to come, people shall cast away all their useless idols of silver and gold, including their carnal ideas and doctrines, which they made for themselves to worship. So many “Christians” today are concerned about the false religions of man, and especially about the lack of prayer in public schools and in government facilities and functions. But we who know the Lord and who know of His sovereignty, also know that God will take care of it all in the fullness of time. And unless He takes care of it, it will not be done!

God’s answer to man’s spiritual lack and unbelief is to impart more of the Christ within us, by His Spirit! When we have Him within us in fullness, the manifestation of the sons of God will take place! Then, in the world to come, there will be no other religion and no other god, but the Lord God of Israel, Who is God alone, and Who has been God in all the earth since the beginning of time! Carnal “Christians” today seek to exalt the Lord through carnal, fleshly means, while the Lord’s faithful elect know that He is God, and trust Him to eliminate all false, counterfeit religions, and all other “enemies,” by the power of His majestic reign (1 Cor. 15:25).

What a wonderful truth it is to know that our Father God is Lord of all and that He has a plan, in place and functioning now, which will remove all of man’s useless religions and meaningless idols and empty ceremonies, and will replace them all with the true worship of the one true God! One day soon in this new Day, God alone shall be exalted in all the earth! He is even now shaking the earth and everything in it and of it, to bring all mankind into the full Glory of His righteous Kingdom! Then they will all worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! This is the Day of the Lord; it is also the great Day when Christ is reigning over all! What a glorious Day this is! And what a more glorious Day this shall yet become!

The Lord our God has risen “to shake mightily and terribly the earth.” We see this in the recent tsunami, and in the hurricanes that hit the Gulf Coast of our beloved nation. We are now being told that there were more than twenty hurricanes during this hurricane season, twice as many as in a normal season. Then we have had serious flooding in the Gulf States and in the Northeast. To make matters worse in this country, we are now being forced to fight a needless war that is costing us dearly, not only in lives lost, but in the price of it as well.

Earthquakes and other types of storms and natural disasters have hit other parts of the world as well, including the 7.6 quake near the Pakistan-India border. So far close to 80,000 people have lost their lives, and there very well could be many more lives lost in that earthquake. Also, in that area, some 3 million people are now homeless. On Dec, 26, 2004, a 9.0 earthquake occurred in Sumatra, Indonesia, killing 176,000 people. And in March of last year another 1,000 lives were lost in an 8.7 earthquake in that same area. In Central America and Mexico torrential rains from the hurricanes have taken the lives of thousands. In Guatemala, hundreds died as a result of torrential rains, and many others died in recent years at the hands of death squads in a civil war there.

Clearly, the Lord is calling for the repentance of His people! This is the Day of the Lord! God is bringing judgment on the world, and also on our great nation. You may lose interest in such truths, but I want to know all the Truth. The Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth is what we need! The Truth is what we want, if we are His elect and chosen ones, and the Truth is what we shall have. Some want to hear only good things and smooth things. The Lord instructed one of His prophets to write this Word, which would apply “for the time to come,” or for the Christians of this hour: “For this is a rebellious people, faithless and lying sons, children who will not hear the law and instruction of the Lord; Who [virtually] say to the seers [by their conduct], See not! and to the prophets, Prophesy not to us what is right! Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceitful illusions. Get out of the true way, turn aside out of the path, cease holding up before us the Holy one of Israel” (Is. 30:9-11, AMP). And Solomon, the king who was given wisdom from God, said this: “He who is satiated [with sensual pleasures] loathes and treads underfoot a honeycomb, but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet” (Pro. 27:7, AMP). In other words, the person who is well fed with the things of this world is not hungry for the pure Word of the Lord. “But to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.” The pure Word of the Lord, though bitter at first, will be sweet to the hungry soul; it will be as sweet as a honeycomb to the soul that is not filled with other things, such as the paltry things of this world!

Those who love the Lord and are willing to forsake all to follow Him will not hesitate to HEAR what the Spirit is saying, and will then respond to His Word with willing and obedient hearts. It is written, “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart” (Heb. 4:12, AMP). How we need His Word of Truth! God’s Word is as a two-edged sword. With it He separates that which is soulish and carnal, from that which is spiritual! His Word cuts, divides and separates, and makes us more spiritual in the process. Man’s word, on the other hand, is a sweet word to the taste; it makes you feel good, while filling you with lies and errors, and deceives you into thinking that you are someone you are not!

The message the Lord would convey to the rest of the “Christians,” as a result of His shaking of the earth, is one of repentance. God is calling for the repentance of all His people (as in 2 Chron. 7:13-14). Not one of those who name the Name of Christ shall escape this present call to repentance. “Christians” who talk about all the choices they have, will soon realize that they have NO CHOICE NOW, for God is making His will known to all and for all! He is making all the choices for all mankind, by bringing forth His righteous judgments, whereby the whole world shall be judged, chastened and corrected by the Lord God omnipotent, Who reigns over all. And what is the message for the Lord’s faithful elect, and ultimately for every “Christian?” It is this: “Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth?” (Is. 2:22, AMP).

Indeed, there is nothing about fleshly, worldly, carnal and corrupt man that should be the object of our trust. Our trust must be in the Lord, and in Him only! Those who go to church to worship the Lord, thinking they will learn the truth and be protected from error, are certainly deceived! The church system is the very center and heart of all error and deception! To trust in the leadership within the churches of today is to put our trust in man, for God is not a part of that system of man. And to participate in Babylon’s corrupt voting process today is also to put our trust in man and in man’s feeble, failing, Babylonish systems! And to put our trust in man’s Babylonish economic system today is also trusting in man and in man’s corrupt, self-centered and vain systems!

To all who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, the message of the Word of the Lord rings loud and clear in our spirits and souls, daily reminding us of the fallacies and weaknesses of the carnal, Babylonish, harlot systems of man! And if we fail to hear what the Spirit is saying, God will speak to us in ways and methods, which we will most certainly hear and believe! He will continue to “speak,” as He is now, using His strong and mighty arm, which are the mighty forces of this present unstable and shaking earth! Most certainly the Lord is using hurricanes and other strange weather patterns to convey a message to those WHO DO NOT have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying! But to those of us WHO DO have ears to hear, the Lord’s pure Word to us is clear and unmistakable, for it resounds in our spirits as a clear, clarion call of the Spirit, saying to us all, “Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time].” May all who have ears to hear, humbly and reverently hear, believe and comply with all the Spirit is saying in this hour!

Isaiah also prophesied, saying, “WOE TO the rebellious children, says the Lord, who take counsel and carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make a league and pour out a drink offering, but not of My Spirit, thus adding sin to sin; Who set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked Me--to flee to the stronghold of Pharaoh and to strengthen themselves in his strength and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength and protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt be to your humiliation and confusion” (Is. 30:1-3, AMP).

May the Lord our God thoroughly and completely cleanse us of all our trust in man and in man’s corrupt systems! These challenging truths are not just in word only; they are now a part of our everyday life! The “Christians” of this nation have turned to a “pharaoh” and to “Egypt,” which represents our carnal-minded leaders, as well as the world and its systems! But the Lord has said, Woe to those “Who set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked Me--to flee to the stronghold of Pharaoh (carnal leaders) and to strengthen themselves in his strength and to trust in the shadow of Egypt (the world and its systems)! Therefore shall the strength and protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt be to your humiliation and confusion!”

The Psalmist gave a message similar to Isaiah’s, when he declared, “GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!” (Ps. 46:1-3, AMP). God alone is our refuge and our strength! He alone is a very present and well-proved help through all the troubles and tribulations we might face. Therefore, we will have no fear as the shaking of both the heavens and the earth continues and even increases!

But, let us pay close attention to the next few words in this Psalm, which are: “Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!” We should indeed pause, and think calmly about this prophetic Word of Truth! The earth is now going through some major changes, as our Father changes the order and begins the process of bringing forth the new Earth, or the world to come, which He has promised! Global warming is taking place, the polar ice cap is melting, causing the oceans to get larger and increase, eventually to be removed from the earth. It is also likely that the Lord will restore the watery canopy that was once in the heavenlies, protecting the earth from the heat of the sun and extreme storms. The psalmist said we will not fear, “though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult.” We have no fear, for we know the end from the beginning! And we also know Him Who is the Author and the Finisher of it all!

This may very well take place literally and naturally as the Lord brings forth the new Earth, the new world, or the world to come! And as we go through this time of shaking and change at the end of this present world order, we will not fear, for the Lord is our refuge, our strength, and a very present help in time of trouble. He will keep us and protect us as we go through this very dark and strange time of change, judgment, revolution, correction and restoration. The mountains may be shaken and cast into the seas, eliminating the seas of the world, as God’s Word has foretold. The valleys may also be lifted up, leveling the earth, and changing it all, to bring forth the new earth, or the world to come, according to our Father’s prophetic promise, His sovereign design and holy purpose.

What we have learned so far about the world to come literally and naturally is this: there will be a new Earth! The mountains may be cast into the seas, raising the seas and lowering the mountains. There will no longer be any seas or oceans in the new Earth. God will remove them by His mighty power, and will send those waters back to the heavens, where they were in the first world. The sun will not smite the people on earth by day, nor will the moon smite them by night. It is also likely that it will not rain or snow in the new earth, for a “mist” will arise from the earth, to water the face of the ground, as it did in Eden’s heavenly Garden. It is also highly likely that there will be no more storms or other weather disasters, as there are in the old earth of the present; the deserts shall literally blossom as the rose, and the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the present seas. And all this shall be fulfilled, not by natural means, but by the mighty, powerful and omnipotent Spirit of the Lord, at the manifestation of the sons of God! It is my sincere desire and strong hope that by presenting the wonderful truths and promises of the world to come, our pure minds may be stirred to seek the Lord, that we might hasten that coming Day when all His sons will have grown to full maturity, to be transformed and become manifest sons of their loving and merciful Father!

Does not the Word of the Lord tell us that all of this was going to take place? Isaiah, the prophet of the Lord, prophesied saying, “Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. [Luke 3:5,6.]” (Is. 40:4-5, AMP). This prophecy obviously has both a literal as well as a spiritual application. According to the spiritual understanding of this prophetic Word, we know the low points, or the valleys of our lives will be lifted up, and the mountains and hills, or the high points, of our lives shall be lowered, by the Spirit, making our lives more “level” and a little more tolerable. Yet, our lives remain a struggle, as the spiritual man is made stronger. There may be other spiritual interpretations of Isaiah’s prophecy, according to the understanding He has given us. But in the literal sense, we can see that the Lord will also lift up the literal, earthly valleys of this world, and bring down the literal mountains of the earth, to level the earth and make it a more beautiful and accommodating place for man’s life in the new Earth, which is the world to come, during the wonderful, Kingdom reign of Christ and His transformed sons over all the earth.

And when the Lord has done all this, then the remainder of that passage shall be gloriously fulfilled, which is: “And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.” In order for “all flesh to see it together,” God must fulfill this anointed Word literally on earth, thus creating and bringing forth the new Earth, which was foretold by the Word of the Lord (see Is. 65:17, 66:22, 2 Peter 3:13 & Rev. 21:1). Isaiah’s prophecy was given specifically for John the Baptist. In the Gospel of Luke, the prophecy of Isaiah is quoted as being the Word of God unto John: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness [shouting in the desert]: Prepare the way of the Lord, make His beaten paths straight. Every valley and ravine shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be leveled; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough roads shall be made smooth; And all mankind shall see (behold and understand and at last acknowledge) the salvation of God (the deliverance from eternal death decreed by God). [Isa 40:3-5.]” (Luke 3:4-6, AMP). We believe John the Baptist did all this, spiritually or by the Spirit, to fulfill God’s Word!

However, if this prophetic Word were to be fulfilled only in the Spirit, or only spiritually, how could all mankind possibly behold, understand and at last acknowledge the salvation of the Lord, which is deliverance from eternal death? The unregenerate of the world MUST SEE SOMETHING NATURALLY AND LITERALLY FIRST, before they can see anything spiritually! To bring forth the new Earth of our Father’s promise, the old earth of the present must be literally changed, recreated, restored, and made to conform to the plans and purposes of our Father! Unless that happens literally and actually, how can it be determined that there is a new Earth? If the prophetic Word quoted above is only to be fulfilled spiritually, how can all mankind and all flesh see the glory of the Lord? The truth is, God will literally change this world to bring forth the new Earth, or the world to come, according to the prophetic Word of the Lord, which we have already quoted! Then, the multitudes of the world will SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD! And when they do see, first literally and then spiritually, whole nations and multitudes of people will then turn to the Lord, to accept His so-great salvation (Micah 4:2)! What a wonderful new world shall come forth at the manifestation of the sons of God!

The anointed, prophetic message of the prophet Isaiah continued with this arresting and enlightening Word: “Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty” (Is. 13:6). And what is it that God shall “destroy?” The prophet tells us here: “Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it” (Is. 13:9). The sinners shall be destroyed out of the world! And who are the “sinners” to be destroyed? It is old Adam, the sinful, soulish man of sin within all mankind! These are the only “sinners” to be destroyed, for all mankind have the Lord’s promise of full salvation (see Is. 45:23, Rom. 14:11, 1 Cor. 15:22, Phil. 2:10 & 1 Tim. 2:4)! And the scriptures also tell us: “For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many” (Is. 66:16). The slain of the Lord shall indeed be many, as by the fiery presence of the Lord and with the sword of His Word, God will destroy ONE THIRD OF ALL MANKIND (Rev. 9:15-18), which is the Adamic mind and nature within us all! Then our souls and spirits shall remain on the new Earth, to be transformed and clothed upon with our new “house” from Heaven (2 Cor. 5:1-4)!

Isaiah also prophesied of the day of the Lord, saying, “Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames” (Is. 13:7-8). This is happening in the lives of all the elect, who are now growing and travailing spiritually unto full maturity! This is how this passage would read according to Strong’s Concordance: During the present day of the Lord, all hands, or those with open hands representing power and authority, shall be faint, or they shall slacken in their work. Every man’s heart, or the most interior part of mortal man, shall melt; they will faint with fatigue, fear or grief due to all that is taking place on the earth, because they are alarmed or agitated. “Pangs and sorrows,” which is physical or mental pressure, shall take hold of them as a company tied together with a strong rope, or as a people who are joined together for a cause; it shall seize them, causing them to writhe in pain.

This shall come upon the elect, seizing them in the same way as a woman that travaileth is seized with the pain of childbirth. It is the Body of Christ giving birth to the manifest sons of God! From this company of the Body of Christ, which is the true Church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, shall come forth the Manchild! And that man child includes all those who are manifest sons of God! Our walk with God unto the fullness of Christ began when the Lord called us out of the church system. When we obeyed His Word and came out of that system of man, we then became the true Church! When all the Lord’s chosen ones were fully out of the church system, the Lord removed His glory from that system of man, leaving it without the precious anointing of the Spirit, and without the Life and Presence of the Lord. And now His Presence and Glory rests within and upon His elect, who are the Body of Christ, or the true Church. From this company of the elect, who are the true Church, or the true Body of Christ, shall be birthed the Manchild. That will be the manifestation of the sons of God!

As we go through this strange time of transition, we “shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames,” because of the glory of the Lord, which we see by looking into His face! His glory is changing us into the resplendent image and heavenly likeness of Christ, our beloved Head and elder Brother! If we could see into the lives of all the elect today, we would see that “pangs and sorrows” have taken hold of them. Like Jesus the first Son, they are despised and rejected of men; they are also men and women of sorrow who are acquainted with grief (Is. 53:3). But when we look again at the elect, by the Spirit, to see more deeply within them, we will see that their faces are “as flames,” showing forth the glory of their inner man of the Spirit, which is growing into the full image and likeness of Christ, the first and original Son.

Then the Word of the Lord declares: “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir” (Is. 13:11-12). This prophetic chapter begins with the words, “The burden of Babylon,” making it a prophecy of the destruction of Babylon, the great harlot, which represents all the carnal, soulish creations of man in this world. Historic Babylon was the capitol city of the Chaldean people, who were Israel’s enemy. Symbolic Babylon represents all that is soulish and carnal, such as fleshly, carnal man and his carnal works in all the earth, which is also the enemy of the spiritual man, or the “Man” who is becoming God’s image and likeness! It is threefold Babylon, which is the soulish realm of man, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth, that is divided into three parts: religious, political-governmental and economic. This carnal, Adamic man, along with man’s carnal, corrupt creation, called Babylon, shall be fully destroyed, as we read: “And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah” (Is. 13:19, see also Jer. 50:23-24, 28, Rev. 14:8, 18:2 &21).

We fully expected the Lord to “punish” and correct the world for their evil and the wicked for their iniquity, which is the wicked “man,” or the Adamic nature and mind within us all. But did we also know that God would “make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir,” while He is correcting the world? That is what the Lord said in His Word and that is what He will do! He will surely make a man more precious than fine gold, even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir! Ophir was a place in the East where gold was mined. The gold of Ophir was more celebrated than that of any other country or area for its purity. It was not just average gold, but yellow gold that was valuable also because it was hidden and precious. God said He would make a man more precious than that type of gold.

And who do you suppose that “MAN” is? He is none other than the Christ Body in the earth! He is the only “Man” of interest now to our heavenly Father! HE is the corporate Christ-Man, the sons of God or the Body of Christ in union with Christ, the Head! They will go through this time of trouble, which is the day of the Lord, with great peace, vital, living faith and spiritual composure! They will comfort all those around them, manifesting the strength, the fortitude and the presence of the Lord to all the weary of the world, who are deeply troubled and distressed by all that is now, and all that will soon be, taking place in all the earth. No other man could be as “precious” as this Christ-Man, or the Body of Christ, for their Father in Heaven has invested much active, spiritual “treasure” within them, linking them with Christ, the Head, and making them an invincible “Man” in the earth! We will truly know how “precious” this “Man” is when “HE” takes on the full image and likeness of Christ, and manifests the fullness of the Glory, Honor, Righteousness, Love and Life of the Lord our God, to set the groaning creation free of its many bondages! This “Man” is “more precious,” for “he” is God manifested once again to the world!

And how is this “Man” made “precious?” By the very “precious” anointing that clothes this Christ-Man with that Heavenly garment, covering Him entirely from the Head to the Feet! “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like THE PRECIOUS OINTMENT upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even LIFE FOR EVERMORE” (Ps. 133). The anointing wherewith we shall be anointed of the Spirit will indeed be “LIFE FOR EVERMORE!” And as we go through this “tribulation time,” we really appreciate that “precious ointment,” which is that anointing unto “Life for evermore!”

The wise man has said, “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour” (Pro. 3:13-16). And this Christ-Body has a sure and permanent corner Stone and foundation Stone that is “precious” as well: “Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a PRECIOUS corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste” (Is. 28:16).

This last phrase has helped me greatly during the last forty years or so. When we know Him Who is our chief and precious corner Stone, as well as our sure Foundation, we will then realize that we need never rush or hurry into something strange, or something that causes fear, anxiety or uncertainty. The guiding Truth here is “he that believeth shall not make haste!” Because we have a very sure and precious foundation Stone, as well as a Rock of refuge and deliverance in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who also is our chief corner Stone, we need not make haste! He is leading and guiding us one step at a time! We may think our steps may be “baby steps,” but we know Who is leading us and holding our hand as we walk! And as we take each step by His leading, baby steps soon become gigantic steps of victory, deliverance and spiritual growth, as a result of His Presence and His pure Word within, which are enforced and strengthened by His living faith!

In light of all that is taking place in the world today, the pure, prophetic Word of the Lord stands out in our hearts as that which is real, honest and true. May we “hear” the word of the Lord, given by the prophets of old, for they foretold all that is taking place today. Joel prophesied the Word of the Lord, when he said, “The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more” (Joel 3:16-17). And the prophet Haggai declared, “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts” (Hag. 2:6-9).

The prophet Haggai continued, saying, “Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts” (Hag. 2:21-23). What wonderful parallels we see in this prophecy! Zerubbabel was the governor of Judah. He was born in Babylon, but played an important role in leading the people of Judah out of Babylonian captivity during the reign of King Cyrus. In a similar way, we too were “born” in Babylon, or we began our walk with the Lord while in the bondage of Babylonish denominationalism. But God called us out of that Babylonish bondage, making us free, just as Zerubbabel was freed from Babylon’s bondage in his day. And like Zerubbabel, who became the governor of Judah when he was set free of that Babylon, we were delivered out of Babylon that we might become kings and priests in the Kingdom of our Father. God has chosen us, and will make us as “a signet” in the Glory of His righteous Kingdom (see Lu. 15:22)! The word, “signet,” as used here, means a signature ring; it represents the ring of authority given by a king to his co-rulers or co-kings. And that ring of authority, when used to “stamp” a document, makes it a legal, official and binding document, authorized and enforced by the king. Our Father will give us that “signet” ring, or the ring of authority in His Kingdom, when we become full-grown kings and priests in His glorious and righteous Kingdom!

And then there is this prophetic Word of Truth: “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear” (Heb. 12:25-28). The Lord is not only speaking, He is also shaking everything that can be shaken! He is bringing forth kings who shall reign in “the world to come!”
