Part Three
November 2006

In this series, we are considering the Song of Solomon and how that beautiful, spiritual love story relates to our present lives in this world, and to our relationship with our heavenly Father. We also understand that the Spirit of Wisdom is one of the seven Spirits of the Lord and one of our spiritual “mothers,” who is parenting us along with the Spirit of the Lord, causing as to grow to become fully manifest sons of our loving and merciful Father. In our last booklet, we concluded with verses nine to eleven of chapter three of the Song of Solomon. In those few verses, we see ourselves riding in “the chariot of Israel,” specifically, we are riding in “the chariot of fire,” which is that special, spiritual “chariot” that carried Elijah to Heaven without dying (2 Kings 2:11).

This “chariot of fire” is a very special, spiritual “vehicle” provided for all those elect who are destined to be changed into the glorious image and heavenly likeness of Christ, without dying, as Elijah was. It is called “the chariot of fire,” for by the holy fires of the Lord (Heb. 12:29), we are protected and are being cleansed of all those “little foxes” that have been spoiling the precious “vine,” which we are in the Kingdom of God. To be spiritually carried or transported in this “chariot of fire,” indicates that we are being led, guided and motivated by the Spirit of the Lord, with assistance from the Spirit of Wisdom, to take this direction of faith, be cleansed and go the way we are led to go, by the Spirit! This “chariot” is also called “the chariot of Israel,” which represents spiritual rule, dominion, rulership and authority in the Kingdom of our Father (see Gen. 41:43 & Song 3:9).

We are not our own; we are the Lord’s! Our heavenly Father alone is guiding and directing us in the way we are taking. We are no longer under the tutelage of man, for we are more developed and have grown to greater, spiritual maturity (Gal. 4:1-7)! We have been trained to hear the Voice of our Beloved, Who called us out of the church system and all it involves! When we understand all this means, we will then know that we are being carried and guided by the seven Spirits of the Lord, perhaps into realms of glory that may be beyond our understanding and desire! When Peter had grown to greater maturity, so he could “hear” the Voice of His Lord, Jesus said to him, “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, when you were young you girded yourself [put on your own belt or girdle] and you walked about wherever you pleased to go. But when you grow old (or, when you grow to greater, spiritual maturity) you will stretch out your hands, and SOMEONE ELSE WILL put a girdle around you and CARRY YOU where you do not wish to go” (Jo. 21:18, AMP). Not only are we wearing that “girdle,” but we are also being carried in His special, spiritual “chariot of fire!”

In our early days, when we were but young, spiritual children, we girded ourselves with man’s religious adornment and walked in the ways of our human leaders, including our own ways, just as Peter did. But now that we have matured a little spiritually, we are no longer walking in the ways of man, nor are we going wherever we are pleased to go, as we did in the past. Now, we know we are being “carried” by the Spirit in a special, spiritual “chariot” by Someone greater than ourselves! And Who is that Someone? It is the LORD! There is no other who could take us to our appointed goal in the Kingdom of God than our wonderful, Beloved, Savior, Lord, and King! We have surrendered our lives totally and completely to Him, knowing full well that our Father is leading us in paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake. And He has taken us to realms where we did not want to be, such as through this night of spiritual darkness, which includes all the current tests, trials and tribulations that are making us perfect and complete in Christ!

It is when we grow to greater spiritual maturity that we will surrender our own will to the pure and perfect will of our heavenly Father! All during our youth and while in the bondage of the church system, we believed we could handle our lives and still do the will of God. Like Peter, we thought we were doing the will of God by doing our own thing. But, in many cases during our youth, our fleshly, carnal mind interfered with the Spirit, causing us to come short of the pure and perfect will of our heavenly Father. Now that we have matured, we can see the folly of our youth. And we also understand now that our loving and merciful Father, at times in the past, led us to do His will despite our own carnal mind and will. As in Peter’s case, the way the Lord is leading us now may be contrary to our own plans and wishes. We have grown spiritually (thank God for that), so that now we trust the Lord alone to guide and direct our lives. And there could be no greater sign of our spiritual growth than to give ourselves solely, exclusively, completely and unreservedly into the capable hands of our Beloved Lord and King alone, for His continued guidance and direction!

Our sincere desire and sole ambition now is, “Draw me! We will run after you! The king brings me into his apartments! We will be glad and rejoice in you! We will recall [when we were favored with] your love, more fragrant than wine. The upright [are not offended at your choice, but sincerely] love you” (Song of Solomon 1:4, AMP). When our Father draws us, we will run after Him! And when we run after Him when He calls, the King will bring us into His courts, into His chambers or into His apartments, which is His holy and intimate Presence. And unless He brings us into His courts, we cannot possibly go “there!” Without Him we can do nothing! To be ushered into His “apartments” will make us glad, causing us to rejoice in Him! Then, we will remember how we were favored with our Father’s love, which is “more fragrant than wine.” And when we have surrendered our own will to His, we will be called “the upright!”

As with Peter, so have we matured spiritually! God’s will and ways are all we care about now. And because we have matured, we will not be offended at His choice for us, but will continue to love Him with all our heart and with all that is within us! Now that we have grown spiritually from our former infancy in man’s systems, to greater spiritual maturity in His Kingdom, where we serve and worship Him only, we will then understand that our Father makes all the choices for us. Now we desire His will above all else, and to be a part of His plan. How wonderful it is now that we have entered into HIS REST and into His spiritual “chariot,” leaving all the choices and decisions with our loving and all-wise Father!

There is Seen, The Chariot of the Lord with Men

“For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth. And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: And he cried, (As) A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights: And, behold, HERE COMETH A CHARIOT OF MEN, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground. O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you. The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: return, come” (Is. 21:6-12).

Several chariots are seen in this prophetic vision. Among them are chariots of horses and horses traveling with a chariot carrying men. In prophetic type, horses generally represent armies coming forth to do battle. In this prophetic story some horses are accompanying a chariot of men, indicating an army of anointed, spiritual warriors, who are set to do battle against the great conglomerate, harlot systems of man, called “Babylon!” What does all this symbolism mean? It shows the elect sons of God riding in the spiritual chariot of the Lord, or in “the chariot of fire,” taking them to their appointed destiny in God, which is their spiritual transformation. We are now being led and carried by the Spirit of the Lord in a greater way than ever before! As we travel with the Lord in His symbolic, spiritual “chariot of fire,” we are doing battle against the forces of evil, especially the corrupt, triune systems of this world, known as “BABYLON” (see Rev. 14:8, 16:19, 17:5, 18:2, & 21). To be allowed into this “chariot of fire,” we must be free of the Babylonish systems of this world. And when the Lord takes His elect, who are no longer in Babylon’s bondage, into that “chariot of fire,” as He is doing now, all the systems of man, as well as all evil, shall be destroyed by the mighty and omnipotent power of the Spirit of the Lord our God!

According to scripture, Babylon is the great city that is divided into three parts. She is first religious, secondly political-governmental and thirdly economic. And that combined, threefold, Babylon system of man has now gained in power, making her a massive, evil and powerful, one-world conspiracy! These Babylonish systems of man will not be voted out of power by man’s carnal attempts to unseat her, for these corrupt systems of man are being strengthened by God, just as the heart of Pharoah of old was hardened in the days of Moses (Ex. 9:12, 10:20, 27, 11:10, 14:8)! And this “hardened” condition will continue until the “Christians” of today repent of their unbelief and of their carnal, willful, worldly ways (see Ex. 7:13, 2 Chron. 7:14 & Romans 9:17-23). This night of spiritual darkness is also a time when lies and deceptions prevail, and when the truth of God is changed into a lie (Ro. 1:25)! We quoted this portion in a previous booklet, but it is worth repeating once again: H.L. Mencken, the late American journalist, critic and editor, once said, “The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.” How true that is!

The original truth of this statement is found in this scripture: “The days of visitation and punishment have come; the days of recompense have come; Israel shall know it. The prophet is [considered] a crazed fool and the man who is inspired is [treated as if] mad or a fanatic, because of the abundance of your iniquity and because the enmity, hostility, and persecution are great. [Luke 21:22.]” (Hos. 9:7, AMP). Indeed, because of Israel-America’s many corporate and individual sins and iniquities, the messengers of the Lord, who attempt to tell the truth and speak on the Lord’s behalf, are considered to be fools and the spiritual man is regarded as a mad man or a fanatic. But God is in control here! He is raising up another Man, the Christ-Man, which is a prophetic, Moses company, to deal with our current “pharaoh” and the great conspiracy that abounds in this corrupted, “Babylonish” world! Although this is the Day of the Lord and a night of spiritual darkness, it is also the beginning of the new Kingdom Day! It is that great Kingdom Day when all the enemies of this Christ will be defeated and put under “His (our) feet” (Ps. 8:6, 1 Cor. 15:25). It is also the great Day when that monstrous, harlot thing called, “Babylon,” will be destroyed by those mighty men of God, who are riding in this special, spiritual “chariot of fire,” which is under the authority and guidance of our loving and merciful Father!

This special, spiritual “chariot,” which will take the Lord’s elect to their transformation, is called “the chariot of fire.” It is called that, for such a spiritual chariot was used of the Lord to take Elijah to his transformation (2 Kings 2:11). And several chariots of fire and horses also surrounded Elisha when he ministered on behalf of Israel during their war with Syria (2 Kings 6:17). Those typical, spiritual “chariots of fire” may also be ministering angels, sent forth to minister unto them, who are the heirs of the full salvation of the Lord (see Heb. 1:13-14)! The psalmist referred to “chariots,” when he said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire” (Ps. 104:1-4). If Spirit clouds of Glory are made to be the Lord’s spiritual “chariot,” then we are safe and secure, protected by those angels in Father’s special, spiritual “chariot of fire,” as we continue to grow to full maturity in Christ!

You may remember that during Elisha’s ministry in Israel, when Elisha was being attacked by an enemy, a young man expressed fear when he saw the approaching enemy and all their chariots and horses surrounding Elisha’s camp during the darkness of that night. That young man only saw what most people see in the natural, which are literal things, the material things of this world. So Elisha prayed and asked the Lord to open the young man’s eyes. “And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha” (2 Kings 6:17). If we could see by the Spirit, what Elisha saw and what that young man saw when God opened his eyes, we would also see “chariots of fire,” not only carrying us to our appointed destiny in God, but also warring in the Spirit, protecting the saints of the Lord and defeating every enemy that has existed as we travel on this spiritual journey to the fullness of Christ! May the Lord open the eyes of all who cannot yet see these mighty, spiritual forces, who are carrying us to our appointed destiny in God and are also surrounding us with the greater power and glory of the mighty Kingdom of our Father!

In Zechariah’s prophecy, the prophet had a vision of four chariots, with different colored horses coming out from between two mountains (Zech. 6:1). When Zechariah asked what those “four chariots” were, the angel of the Lord answered him, saying, “These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth” (Zech. 6:5). And those four “chariots” or “spirits of the heavens,” went forth through the earth, each in a different direction, to begin the fulfillment of God’s Word, Plan and Purpose! Then the Word of the Lord came to the prophet, saying to him, “Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both” (Zech. 6:12-13).

Christ, the Branch, has indeed grown up “out of his place,” to become the anointed Body of Christ. He has already built the temple of the Lord, which is the true Church, or the Body of Christ. And we are that Church, which is His Body! Next, the Christ of God, which includes you and me, “shall bear the glory!” This means that the body of Christ shall be transformed in their bodies, “and (this anointed and transformed corporate Christ) shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” The Amplified Translation has that last verse, verse thirteen as, “and the counsel of peace shall be between the two [offices--Priest and King]. [John 1:14; 17:5; Heb 2:9.].” The word “counsel” means advice or counsel, revealing the Wisdom of God, as well as His eternal plan and purpose! The next event, or the next great purpose to be fulfilled in the earth and on earth, will be the manifestation of the sons of God! And the four chariots with horses, which represent “the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth,” will assist in the fulfillment of that promise, as well as every other prophetic Word of the Lord! Then this Christ “shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne,” ruling over all the universe in the power and glory of the mighty Kingdom of our Father!

The next thing mentioned in Isaiah’s prophecy is this Word from the Lord: “O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you” (Is. 21:10). The Lord will bring judgment upon Babylon, threshing it as grain is threshed, resulting in “the corn of my floor,” which is the precious grain of His people that He harvested and brought forth during the threshing of Babylon. There is always something good to be gleaned from the threshings of the Lord! For example, when the Lord “threshes” us, as He is obviously doing now, the husk or the outer shell of our fleshly body will be removed, leaving the pure “grain” of our redeemed Spirit, which is to be clothed upon with our new body that is like unto His glorious Body of Life abundant! So, I pray, “Lord, continue to thresh us until there is nothing left of us but the pure ‘grain’ of thy precious, holy Spirit, from which a pure son of God in your glorious image and likeness shall come forth!”

Then, the question is asked, “Watchman, what of the night? The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: return, come” (Is. 21:12). Or, we may rephrase this, by saying, how much of this night is left? And, how long until the morning dawns? By the Spirit of Wisdom from God, which is one of our spiritual “mothers,” we know now that the night is far spent! We are just a little past the midnight hour, and now we await the time of the “cockcrowing,” which must come just before the morning of this great, new, Kingdom Day fully dawns (see Mk. 13:34-37)! The Spirit of Wisdom and of the prophetic “watchman” is working within us if we are fully aware of these present-day, relevant truths! The signs of the times tell us clearly and distinctly that this is a night of gross, spiritual darkness! And those signs also tell us that “the morning cometh!”

A Spiritual Description of the Body of Christ in His Pretranslation State
“Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead. Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them. Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men. Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies” (Song 4:1-5).

The elect of the Lord are described here as being pure and perfect in their human state. This is our Beloved’s assessment of us just before we are changed into the glorious image and heavenly likeness of Christ, our true Beloved! Prior to our transformation, which is where we are now, we are seen as a literal, physical body, almost perfect and complete. Every part or member of this Body has been assigned their own proper place in the Body, by the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:18). This anointed Body of the Lord is seen having two breasts that are likened to young deer feeding among the Lilies. As we have already written, to feed among the Lilies, indicates that we are no longer feeding on the empty, lifeless and insipid words of man, but we are feeding entirely on the pure Word of the Lord. And His pure Word is required in our lives to bring us to full maturity, if we expect to be changed into His glorious image and heavenly likeness! All who are members of this anointed and prepared Body are no longer feeding at man’s tables, but are consistently feeding among the Lilies, and will continue to do so until the day breaks and the shadows flee away! This corporate Body must partake of the Lilies, which are symbolic of the Life of Christ, for their symbolic “two breasts” will one day feed the nations when the Kingdom of God has fully come to Earth!

Then, the Word of the Lord continues: “Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense. Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee” (Song 4:6-7). All who patiently await their transformation will do as this prophetic song indicates: we will make haste to go to “the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.” We believe, the mountain of myrrh and the hill of frankincense is a reference to Mount Zion, which is the realm or mount of the Presence of the Lord. When we ascend up the rocky and steep mount of the Lord, which is Mount Zion, we will enter into the Presence of the Lord, to bask in the Light of His holy and awesome Glory, there to be sprinkled with the heavenly, divine fragrance of frankincense and myrrh.

As we have already written, frankincense and myrrh are the fragrances of Christ, even those fragrances with which the baby Jesus was anointed! When we enter into His Presence, we will be anointed with the fragrance of Christ, which resulted from our spiritual experience at the mountain of myrrh and the hill of frankincense! And when we are perfumed with myrrh and frankincense from the Presence of the Lord, we will then be anointed of the Lord for our transformation! Then, our Beloved Savior, Lord and King will be able to say of this corporate Body: “Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee” (Song 4:7).

“Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck. How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices! Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon. A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard, Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices: A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon. Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits” (Song 4:8-16).

In our present state, before our transformation, we are like “a garden inclosed, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.” Very few have ears to hear what we have to say, for Father has “enclosed” us, “shut” us up and “sealed” us, so that our message, which is the true message of the Kingdom of God, cannot be shared with many others. But while we await our change, we plead with the “north wind” to blow upon this garden, which we are, “that the spices thereof may flow out,” or that the precious Truth we have may flow out to others, by the Spirit. Only the chosen elect have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying at this time! Isaiah foretold our present condition, when he prophesied, “And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed” (Is. 29:11). Not only are we sealed unto God, but the Truth, or the life-changing, Kingdom Word we have, is also sealed! Paul also wrote of us, saying, “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” (Eph. 4:30). And is not “the day of redemption” the great Day of our transformation, or the Day of our full salvation? Until then we are sealed by the holy Spirit. In Father’s time, when we are transformed, God will open us up to the multitudes, unseal us and disclose who we are, openly revealing and manifesting the Christ from within us, for others to see, hear and be changed!

We are also becoming “A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon,” but not until our Father releases us from this “sealed” condition, may we dispense these “living waters” of Christ to the multitudes. As we have already shown, not until “Father’s time,” or not until “He pleases,” will we be allowed to release these “living waters,” so that others may partake and be changed, as we were!

The above passage in Solomon’s Song also gives the endearing names and titles by which our Beloved calls His Body of sons, to express His love to her, to assure her of it, and to excite her love for Him. As you read these lines, think of the Love of the Lord for you personally! He loves you so much that He willingly died on the cross for you! He made you one of His own, because He loves you so much! He also filled you with His Spirit, because of His Love for you! He has kept you, led you by His Spirit, guided you each step of this way, and is bringing you to His fullness, because of His deep and abiding Love for you! And He did all that for you, while seemingly ignoring and bypassing many others! Now that is the Love that God has shown for you! We will return that Love, when we are transformed and enabled of our Father to minister that LOVE/LIFE to all mankind and the whole creation! Further, the Feast of Tabernacles is also “the year of release” (Deut. 31:10), when we shall be released from this “sealed” condition!

Twice in this passage Christ calls His body of sons “my spouse” (vs. 8,11) and three times “my sister, my spouse” (Vs. 9-10,12). The Spirit also said, “For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee” (Is. 62:5). Or, as a young man marries a virgin bride, so also shall the sons of God, or the Body of Christ, be married or joined to Christ, the Head, to make one complete, corporate Man! Mention is made of the day of his espousals (Song 3:11), and after that, she is called his spouse, not before. Christ calls his Body of sons His “spouse,” and in calling “him” that He makes it so. There is a marriage-covenant relationship between Christ and his Body, or between Christ and every true, called and chosen son of God.

Thus, we read, “And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD” (Hos. 2:19-20). Hasn’t it been our deep and true desire to know the Lord? As it is written, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead” (Phil. 3:10-11). If we would know Him, and the power of His resurrection, we must also know Him in the fellowship of his sufferings, (BY) being made conformable unto his death.” The words, “If by any means,” seem to be out of place here. In the first place, there is no “IF” in the purposes of God! With us, it is not “IF” we shall attain, but “WHEN” we shall attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Secondly, it is not “BY ANY MEANS” that we shall attain unto His Life, for we are learning what the MEANS is to attain to His Life, and we are also learning what THE WAY is to receive that Life! It is according to the plan and purpose of our loving and merciful Father, which is the “MEANS” by which we shall attain to His Life! And we also know that CHRIST IS THE WAY that will take us to that most holy realm of the abundant, rich and full Life of Christ!

This is what we also know: “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM THAT IS TRUE, AND WE ARE IN HIM THAT IS TRUE, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life” (1 Jo. 5:20). Not only do we KNOW HIM Who is true, but we are also IN HIM Who is true! And we also know that He “is the true God, and (He also is) eternal life!” The Lord has given us Spiritual Understanding, which makes it possible for us to Know Him, as well as the Life that HE IS! He has also betrothed us unto Himself forever, in righteousness, in judgment, in lovingkindness, in mercies, and in faithfulness! And because He has betrothed us unto Himself forever, we also KNOW HIM, Who is True, Who is the true God, and Who also is Eternal Life! What more do we need to know?

Our Beloved Came into His Garden to Eat His Pleasant Fruits

The last verse of chapter four closes with this sentence: “Let my beloved come into his garden and eat its choicest fruits.” Chapter Five begins by saying, “I HAVE come into my garden, my sister, my [promised] bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my balsam and spice [from your sweet words I have gathered the richest perfumes and spices]. I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends [feast on, O revelers of the palace; you can never make my lover disloyal to me]! Drink, yes, drink abundantly of love, O precious one [for now I know you are mine, irrevocably mine! With his confident words still thrilling her heart, through the lattice she saw her shepherd turn away and disappear into the night]. [John 16:33.]” (Song of Solomon 5:1, Amplified).

When our Beloved King came into this “garden,” which we are, He came to partake of the fruits that His “bride,” “sister,” or “spouse” provided. Our worship of Him in Spirit and in Truth are those “sweet words,” from which He has gathered “the richest perfumes and spices,” which He also calls “my honeycomb with my honey.” When we fully understand this great Truth, we will then realize how important our worship of our Lord is, in Spirit and in Truth, to the whole Plan and Purpose of our Father! And then our Beloved invites the friends of the Bridegroom, including “the revelers of the palace,” to join Him in eating and drinking. When He invites them to eat and drink, the bridegroom, according to the natural example, also realizes that some of the revelers may attempt to “flirt” with His bride or His spouse. So he says to them, “you can never make my lover disloyal to me.” Those who are betrothed to the Lord, will never give in to the seducers or to the counterfeit lovers of Babylon, but will remain true to Him forever! As the chosen, elect of the Lord, we should never ever think of going back to the harlotry of the corrupt church system, for we are betrothed to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that binds us to Him and Him alone forever and ever! And then, as if to assure and affirm the eternal relationship He has with His “spouse,” which we are, our Beloved says to His “spouse” or to His typical “bride,” “Drink, yes, drink abundantly of love, O precious one for now I know you are mine, irrevocably mine!” How can we fail Him when our Beloved says such beautiful things about us?

The entire spiritual celebration involving the Bridegroom (which is Christ) and the spouse (or, the Body of Christ, which we are), is just like a wedding celebration in the natural. This union or this wedding, will bring together two separate entities: Christ the Body and Christ the Head, making one complete Christ! Not until we are bodily transformed, by the Spirit, can we be joined to Christ, the Head! And that will be great cause for celebration, for the two shall then become ONE SPIRIT, joined together by the Spirit of Life in Christ! We will then function as ONE BODY, OR ONE CORPORATE MAN, BY THE SPIRIT!

Just before He was crucified, resurrected and ascended to Heaven, Jesus prayed this prayer to His Father in Heaven: “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world (that’s us): thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I PRAY NOT FOR THE WORLD, BUT FOR THEM WHICH THOU HAST GIVEN ME; FOR THEY ARE THINE. AND ALL MINE ARE THINE, AND THINE ARE MINE; AND I AM GLORIFIED IN THEM. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me (that’s us), THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE” (ONE) (John 17:4-11).

Here again, we see our Lord’s concern for His elect! Jesus did not pray for the whole world to be saved! He knew that was already a part of His Father’s Plan! And Jesus must also have known that by bringing those whom Father had given Him to full sonship, the whole world would also be saved! In this very spiritual and anointed prayer, Jesus asked His Father to bless those people on earth whom the Father had given Him. We (along with the heavenly sons) are Father’s gift to Christ Jesus! As God’s gift to Christ, we are chosen of God, set aside for His eternal purposes and called of God to be joined to Christ in a holy union, making us one, just as, or in the same way, that Christ and the Father are ONE!

Notice Jesus’ words: “THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE!” The key words here are “AS WE ARE!” The original word translated “as,” means just as, or according to; the word “we” is an emphatic we, emphasizing the people who will benefit from this promise, while the word “are” was added by the translators. We shall be made ONE with Christ just as or in the same way that Christ and the Father are one! In other words, our union with Christ, or our oneness with Him, must be the same quality and kind of oneness that joined Christ and the Father! When we understand what makes them ONE, we will then understand what will also make us ONE with Christ and the Father! And what is it that will make us ONE, as Christ is ONE with the Father? It is the transforming, eternal, resurrection LIFE OF GOD that will make us ONE, just as Christ and the Father are ONE! No other form or type of oneness will ever make us ONE with Christ and the Father! Our union with Christ and the Father must be the same type and quality of union that made Christ and the Father ONE! Any lesser quality or form of union will not make us one, as Christ and the Father are one! We must be joined to Christ in the same way that Christ is joined to the Father! And that is BY A RESURRECTION, OUT FROM THIS DEATH TO THE FULLNESS OF THE LIFE OF GOD! We must be transformed to become manifest sons of the living God before we can ever lay claim to the unity and the oneness that fulfills the prayer of Jesus! That was the subject of the prayer Jesus prayed for us, and it is the will, plan and purpose of our Heavenly Father! And the spiritual “chariot of fire” that we are now in, will take us to our appointed destiny in God, which is our transformation into the image and likeness of Christ! How blessed we are to be able to “see” the Glory that awaits us!

We Will Remain Spiritually Awake, Aware and Alert

Then the “spouse,” which we are, said, “I went to sleep, but my heart stayed awake. [I dreamed that I heard] the voice of my beloved as he knocked [at the door of my mother's cottage]. Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my spotless one [he said], for I am wet with the [heavy] night dew; my hair is covered with it. [Job 11:13-15.] [But weary from a day in the vineyards, I had already sought my rest] I had put off my garment-- how could I [again] put it on? I had washed my feet--how could I [again] soil them? [Isa 32:9; Heb. 3:15.]” (Song 5:2-3, AMP). Indeed, when we go to sleep, we will see to it that our hearts or spirits remain awake!

And of course, we should never fall asleep in the spirit, or spiritually speaking! But when our body is asleep, our spirit or our “heart,” should remain awake at all times. During this night, when we are asleep, the Lord may knock on the door of our hearts, call to us to get our attention, and then speak to us, by His Spirit! I have experienced this a few times and some of you may have also. How wonderful it is when the Voice of our Beloved calls to us during the night! Whether it is a literal night of literal darkness, or a spiritual night of spiritual darkness, such as the present time, we rejoice when our Beloved speaks to us! We will remain AWAKE, AWARE AND ALERT AT ALL TIMES, expecting Him to speak to us, alerting us to something wonderful that He is doing, whether for His Kingdom, for us, or for the world!

In Solomon’s dream, we are seen in our “mother’s cottage,” or in Wisdom’s small house or “tabernacle!” If we are up-to-date with God, our spiritual habitation will not be the realm of Pentecost, which is the realm of church order, but we will be found in our “mother’s cottage,” typically in Wisdom’s tabernacle, worshiping the Lord at the most holy realm of the Feast of Tabernacles! Here, in the realm of His Presence, we are worshiping Him on a one-to-one relationship, and in Spirit and in Truth! Our Beloved is coming to us from the Kingdom Vineyard, where He has been trimming the branches in His vineyard, which we are, that we might bring forth more Kingdom fruit! He told us, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit” (Jo. 15:1-2).

Our Beloved is pruning us, preparing us to come forth in His image and likeness! We are seen prophetically traveling in the Lord’s spiritual “chariot of fire!” We are also seen as a vineyard being pruned and purged by our Beloved, in preparation for our transformation. The whole creation is waiting for us to come forth in His image and likeness, for we are their Saviors in Zion! And we are coming forth in His image and likeness, for He Who is within us is bringing us to fullness and completeness! Amen!
